PSU vs Boise st. Let’s discuss

PSU is a tough run stopping team. They bend don’t break a lot. Boise being at a neutral site for this game will benefit them. 

i see high scoring and Boise covering, what do you guys lean? 

PSU will be jacked up...Boise will surprise no one...PSU by DDs...People will be asking..."And why did Boise make the playoff and also get a bye?"

Boise outclassed in this one. Boise road games Wyoming SJst Hawaii, now Penn State. Stop Jeanty and you stop Boise.. Madsen will get rattled vs the power Penn St 

Too many points IMO. PS was favored by 8 against SMU at Happy Valley but giving 11 to Boise on a neutral field? 

MY OPINOIN IF THE STOP JENTY, THEY BECOME ONE DIMENSIONAL AND FORCE MADSEN TO BEAT THEM.............NOT FEELING THAT

 You forgot on the road against the number #1 ranked team in the nation and took them to over time and should of won but lost to oregon by a field goal. Boise state definetly covers easily penn state is gonna have a tough time once it turns end of 3rd 4th quarter when the hogs are tired! Broncos win!

..that was many moons ago . Recent road form bud. Madsen and Jeanty havent faced a defense of Penn States caliber in its recent ( form) 4 game road trip  Wyoming UNLV Hawaii San Jose St ...lol. Please..Penn St by 14-21..GL

Penn st hasn’t been that impressive this year IMO cept for last game vs SMU, where defense, not offense looked great. They have their work cut out for them today though.

-Squeaked by a 5 loss Bowling Green team with late td.  giving up 27 pts
-beat a 5 loss USC team in OT by 3. Giving up 30 pts
-beat a 5 loss Minnesota team by 1 giving up 25 pts.  
-loss to the 2 higher ranked teams they faced in Buckeyes and Ducks

 
Don’t get me wrong, Boise hasn’t played anyone too great this year but did look good against Oregon, so 11 pts just seems too high. They usually are coached and play well in big games where Penn St is the opposite and  nit lions defense has a big task stopping Jeanty, probably best rb in nation with 29 tds and 7 yds a carry.

I’m definitely taking the points and good possibility sprinkling the m/l

This game codes down to the trenches.  Jeanty needs to have success for this to be a competitive game. Penn St D-Line is very, very good.  Boise St played nobody all year except Oregon who they did have success running the ball against with 6.7 yards per carry.  Penn St also gashed Oregon running the ball 8.7 yards per carry. Penn St offense has been playing better of late.  I do think the lines this week may be a little inflated in favor of the teams coming off blowout wins last week.  I think home field advantage in a playoff game with a college atmosphere is huge.  The away teams crumbled under the pressure.  I do lean to Boise, ASU, Oregon, Georgia ATS.  Notre Dame has looked good, but when was the last time they beat a Top 5 team in a bowl/playoff game?  Georgia hasn't looked quite as dominant this year, so may this be the Irish chance?  Playing Penn St and Texas in teasers.

Don't count out the boys in blue 'n orange. Just sayin'. There'll be at least 30,000 fans cheering them on. At least. I'm seeing a lot of Bronco fans down here. Might be that the Lion fans are buying Orange Bowl tickets already. And don't underestimate Franklin's ability to screw this up.

Maybe close for awhile, Penn ST gets the cover going away. Penn St is good at burying mediocre teams. Boise is just that.

Just food for thought- the value in this line IMO is Boise as it’s inflated 2-4 points after the SMU blowout. I think the dogs (especially larger ones) get some benefited calls.  1st weekend of the playoffs was embarrassing for the NCAA

I fully expect closer games in the playoffs.

My prediction if you took the 4 dogs you’d go 3-1 

As a capper for over 50 years most all of you make sense with your analysis but we are dealing with human vs human and the game is not played on paper or opinions.It seems the last few years traditional capping has not paid off as in the past (at least for me) MY POINT  Do your thing make your wager and enjoy the game as gambling is for entertainment purposes only  Last week I was 9-2 combined and last nite I loved SF as Lions cannot win in SF oops that didn't work lol and NO the game wasn't fixed!!   GLA Happy New Year   and my lean is Penn St too for whatever that's worth

 Yes,  Penn St can't beat Great Teams that is well known. I would dare to say USC and Minny are good teams and those were close. 

UCLA won by 16

Wisconsin won by 15

Washington won by 29

Purdue won by 39

Maryland won by 37

SMU won by 28

Yes they didn't show up against Bowling Green...It happens when dealing with college kids early in the season.
