Those are my top picks this week.I don't parlay, tease or bet ML favorites; because when I'm wrong , I'm often very wrong and when I'm right it is often only by a few points

Congrats to Vanderbilt for defeating Bama, KY, VT, and taking TX to the wire. The New Mexico St transfers coaches Lea and Kill and QB Diego Pavia have rejuvenated the Commodore program.
However sources are reporting that Pavia is banged up with the most significant injuries being to his shoulder and knee. It is hard to overstate Pavia's importance to their high flying option attack. If he is not 100% it could be rough sledding against a top flight Auburn defense.
Auburn needs this game if they are going to go Bowling. It could be argued that they are a few bad coaching decisions and a few bad turnovers at critical times from being at least 6-2.
In addition it is not lost on me that New Mexico St came into Jordan Hare and blew them out last year. I'd say Auburn has had this game circled up on the calendar. The Auburn rushing attack has been in high gear recently and I see them continuing that trend against this Vandy defense. Auburn is off next week so there is no lookahead here. I also think it helps that the War Eagles saw this option attack last year.
Rightfully so the Commodores have become the new public darling and favorite dog. This is the first time they have been a single digit dog since 2017.
I'm going contraire and saying Auburn gets their pound of flesh here.
It's getting late and I need to lay down for a while. So as far as the SMU game goes I'd say this is their biggest game since the Pony Express days. I fully expect Gerald J Ford Stadium to be totally off the hook.
If you can't close you can't cover.
