Two early games to start the day off.  

UCLA (1-5-0) vs Rutgers (4-2-0) -4.5 & 42

ECU (3-3-0) vs ARMY (6-0-0) -15.5 & 52.5.

The Bruins travel east to take on the Scarlett Knight of Rutgers.  UCLA began their 2024 campaign off with an excuse me FG win with :56 left in the game vs Hawaii.  That would be the last time that the Bruins saw a winning score since.

Rutgers on the other hand ripped off four wins in a row before yielding their last two games to Nebraska and then Wisky respectively.  

Although both teams will play annually, this will be the first mtg between them.  

Rutgers scores just under 26 PPG which is 2.5 less pts that UCLA allows per game at 28.5.

This game offers UCLA a bit of relief as Rutgers Ranked 74th Nationally will be the easiest Defense they will play this season.  Good thing too as the Bruins score a mere 14 PPG.  So far they have faced the #6, 7, 8, 19, and 40th best D’s TY.  

Although it appears that everyone is playing Rutgers, I do appreciate the Strength of Defense play UCLA has faced.

In the next game ECU takes on a good ARMY team.  It’s hard to overlook the fact the ARMY is ranked #19 in overall Offense and #1 in Rushing Offense.  The Black Knight also add the 10th ranked Defense and are 6-0-0 SU and 6-0-0 ATS.

Three games for the afternoon card.

Charlotte (3-3-0) vs NAVY -16.5 & 56.5

UAB (1-5-0) vs USF (2-4-0) -13.5 & 56.5

Hawaii (2-4-0) vs WAZZU (4-2-0) -18.5 & 55 

Charlotte travels North to Annapolis to take on the Midshipman of Navy.  The Naval Academy sports the #10 ranked Offense and their Rush Offense Ranks #2 only behind the other Military Academy in 6-0 ARMY.  They score almost 44 PPG.  They are led by signal caller Horvath who has excelled throwing and running the ball.

Not much truly to find on a positive note for Charlotte and will need to be on their Very Best to handle this Navy Squad.

UAB has been the Free Spot for teams this season and don’t see anything changing, even against a 2-4 USF team.

Last afternoon game takes us to the State of Washington where Hawaii and Wazzu face up.  Everyone is all about Wash St today who has played well this season.  However after looking at all the Stats which point to the Cougars I found one that made me think.  These teams played 1 common Opponent in BSU a week apart.  Interestingly enough both teams lost by 21 points; Hawaii lost 28-7 and Wazzu lost 45-24.  If that translates across to today’s matchup????
