I don't see the winner of this game being anything but a TD underdog to the winner of the other semi final. Texas and Ohio St passers can really locate the ball and their passes are catchable. That 4th down and 13 throw for all the marbles was as accurate a pass as you will see under pressure. Texas has little rushing attack but they get it done through the air.
I also don't see both teams showing up. For whatever reason it may be, high stakes games on the biggest stages in American sports theatrics....., one team will experience continous failure, even doing simple things they were able to do all season long.
Recently we saw the Minn Vikings, playing for a 1st rd bye, had their star receiver J. Jefferson drop nearly every pass. This looked like the Steelers, at home, trying to avoid a 4 game losing streak, and their star receoiver (Pickens) had his usual 10 targets and dropped every single meaningful pass. We saw Boise St stumble all night long, doing some things well enough to keep it close, but unable to make a FG, avoid penalties at crucial moments....etc, etc.
Either ND or Penn St will have a terrible game (a blowout loss).
I felt ND did not have a good game offensively. Guess we could credit Georgia, but w/o that gift strip sack of the frosh QB before the half, and the kickoff return, ND would not be here.
PENN ST and UNDER.
I think Penn ST loses in the Championship, by a ton, to either Ohio State or Texas.
