Here’s this week’s college football Wise Guy Report. This information is
garnered via various sources, including books here in Nevada as well as
offshore, plus selected underground stateside shops. Any commentary is
compliments of my contacts. Note, as always, that these are not my
personal selections or opinions, just information.
110
Washington is now getting the sharper money for the Friday night game
with Stanford. The Cardinal drew the early action, but the wise guys
have been firing on the Huskies the last day or so.
113
Marshall is getting some pro money as big dogs at Pittsburgh. The fact
QB Chase Litton is slated to return after missing last week’s game is
clearly responsible for some of this action.
136 Charlotte
makes a rare appearance on the wise guy rundown. Some of this could be
due to the injury status of ODU RB Ray Lawry.
139 UTEP is
catching a few looks in a low volume betting game vs. Louisiana Tech.
The Miners will have talented RB Aaron Jones in action although as of
now it’s unknown who will be under center for UTEP.
151 Central
Florida was very popular at the opener and while the Knights are still
getting played, with the line now down to 3.5 at most locations.
153 Akron has gone up substantially from the opener, with Kent State suffering from a multitude of injuries.
163 Louisville was the most heavily played Sunday college side and
while there has been subsequently been some respected play on Clemson,
the pros definitely got in at the outset on the Cardinals.

173 Wyoming is getting some smart action in its rivalry clash with Colorado State.
190 North Carolina State is getting the pro dough against Wake Forest.
This game is a bit unusual as it’s the underdog Demon Deacons who are
proving popular with the public bettors.
194 UCLA is the clear wise guy choice as far as the serious money goes in their duel with Arizona.
196 USC got some substantial wise guy money fairly quickly against
Arizona State. The consensus is that the line has reached its highest
point, and speculation is that the public will be on the dog come game
day.
200 Indiana is the pro side of the equation, while the joes are firing on favored Michigan State.
201 Oklahoma is getting hit by both the pros and the public as small road chalk at TCU.
206 South Alabama is back on the wise guy rundown again, this time as big dogs against San Diego State.
208 New Mexico State is getting more of the sharp action in a low volume matchup with UL lafayette.
218 UNLV is drawing sharp money as the Rebels host Fresno State. The
wise guys got it right last week when they faded UNLV but this week they
seem to be the more popular respected money choice.
220 Hawaii
has been popular from the outset as they host Nevada and a couple of my
contacts feel this line will possibly go down even more.
