SMU upsets PSU

I would assume the cfp will rival march madness. 

what happens in march? Upsets 

out of all the games I believe SMU has the best chance out of the dogs. 

I have followed PSU for over a decade, I’ve had friends play on the team. James Franklin is a CEO not a head football coach. I’ve never seen Penn state so inflated in my life.  

This team is actually really bad. There qb is trash and a mid tier big 10 player if that. There offense is insanely one dimensional. If they can’t run they pass to Warren. They really struggle getting the ball on the outsides. 

on defense they look good yes but they are suspect. SMU qb is going to give them fits. This team is not built to play teams like SMU. They’re built for the michigans and Ohio states. SMU is playing with house money and going to come in and play back yard football. 

if PSU go down they’re losing. They are not built to come from behind. In my opinion this game is -4.5 at the high end. 

at the end of the day it’s gambling. Is this a lock? No. But I believe odds are in my favor at +275

 You really expect a bunch of kids from Texas to go 1000 miles from home to play in their first cold weather game in front of 109,000 fans and win? They might get a back door cover but they are not winning. Penn State's defense is by far the best defense SMU has seen. SMU doesn't score 20 points.

I think the size, speed, athleticism and physical play of Penn state is going to be a real eye opener for SMU 

I hope so but I think that is the only game that the upset can’t happen. But I sure hope you’re right.

The issue with this forum is everyone bets the same way and loses the same way. People need to understand betting -110 lines and winning 60% of the time in all reality will never happen. 

Open up your thinking and bet underdogs in value spots. It’s pretty hard to think they win? It’s pretty hard to think the patriots win a Super Bowl with Tom Brady as 2 touchdown underdogs. 

it’s any given Sunday. College football is watered down there is no such thing as school pride any more. PSU seems like an easy route in the bracket. What if they lose?

They may look at value plays. Most just don't think this is one  Personally I won't touch Penn State in any game

Then you should just bet SMU to win it all.  Penn state has played #1 Oregon to a one score game in the fourth quarter and lost to ohio state in a close game that if a few coin flip plays go their way they would’ve won.  They have a solid defense and their running game and Warren have been good enough for their offense so far.  Sure they lack explosive plays on the outside but maybe they just suffocate SMU with the running game and the defense at home.  Good luck.  We shall see
