why Solich for OU called a 30 yard pass play on 3rd and 2 at the Temple 31????

this is clearly 4 down territory when you have a college kicker that blows mud (95% of college kickers)....you run two there and get the first or if you throw its a quick out.....you need two yards....not a bomb into double coverage....

Watching that play it looked from the QB that was the prefferred play option...

....and we know how the rest played out.....anyone else know that would happen?

nope, ride out my OU bet and hope Solich buzz wears off before the second half starts....why does it seem losers like me sitting at home can make better play calls then this....your driving the field...running well and that, he just CAN'T be that dumb.

Because coaches out coach themselves at times thinking about what the opposition will do. On 3rd and 2...Ohio was expecting Temple to load the box in any strong run formation. So they came out in spread and tried to catch them deep.

Which is silly because Ohio's QB hasnt connected on any long throws tonight. Its obvious 2 down territory but for some reason he believes his kicker is Ray Groza. Cost his team a shot to get a 1st down and a reasonable 30-40 yard FG.

On another 3rd down at the 32 in the 1st quarter they go with an option to the boundary? Again they were in 2 down territory...why would you run an option to pitch the ball BACKWARDS and then run it into the boundary. Solich has let the MAC conference destroy his thinking

he just ran a qb option at 3rd and 12 or 15....

really bad calling or whomever calls plays for this OU team

That's the point SMOKE. You can get exactly what you want. And they did. Receiver was OPEN. But if the QB can't CONSISTENTLY make the throw........who cares? You are what you are. Run the ball. Get the 1st. Kill the clock. 9 out of 10 times that QB misses that throw against air..........let alone a D. Mind you..........the coverage WAS vs. AIR. There was a rush, however. That solidified the miss.

wish I had a penny every time the announcers were dumbfounded after the refs calls on the field this year....

no one knows what is going on anymore out there

the flag was thrown by the ref on the illegal jump in the endzone but they called OU for sideline interference....

the flag was on Temple sideline on the ground
