I keep reading about the how Stanford is going to upset USC. As much as I would like to happen it’s very unlikely. The value of a -4 spread with USC is huge for me. Stanford has beat some pretty good teams at HOME...on the road Stanford is not the same team. Also USC is coming off a bye!!! 2 weeks to prepare and the healthiest they are been since playing Stanford. The trends tell you to take Stanford but all goods thing must come to a end. USC -4 is the play...

Closeness of another stadium may play a factor but again. It’s not their home field. I played in college and not being in your locker room not having the little HOME field quirks introductions ect. played a emotional part in my feelings going on the field. Do high school teams that are neighbors call it the same way?? No. USC will show up just as much.

I go back to the Arizona game and see how USC keyed on Tate and shut Him down. I see this happening tonight with the Stanford running game.
I'm hearing how well Costello played last week against ND but if you see how awful the D-backs played for the Irish especially that Love Guy...I don't give it much credence....I could be wrong but I think Costello will be looking for Abbott later tonight.
Just like the SD State game...USC will be playing with a chip on their shoulder tonight..it's the "public" school going against the "preppies" school. I think this mentality carries some weight.
AND....from top to bottom, athletically, there is no contest. like I said before...I could be wrong but I sense that USC will be ready to play a great game tonight.

USC ALWAYS has athletic advantage over Stanford... Has always had it... even when they were losing to Stanford every year, theres no question that USC had the better talent... I dont understand this angle. Every year ISC has a significant athletic advantage over most of the pac12... its irrelevant unless your coaches are good enough

Athletic advantage is a big factor in first half of this game.
