I think Stanford and Shaw in particularly will want to start this season with a bang after last years terrible opening game against NW. Stanford lost some pieces on D but their offense didn't get too depleted other than Hogan (probably a good thing) as far as I know.
Any thoughts on this play?

Lol @ losing Hogan as being a good thing vs a qb who has one pass completion under his belt Bol
v. Ertz who has no completions career to date...At least Burns and Chryst were 4 Star prospects, who are smart guys...Yes, Ertz and KSU will play with chips on their shoulders, but everyone expects that should scheme for it...Shaw and McCaffrey don't care about stats for McCaffrey and Heisman trophy's, they care about winning...If Shaw is worth his slat, he use CM as a decoy (see Reggie Bush), pound scarlett and soften up the KSU secondary with some appropriate passes to the 4.3 Stanford WR's. Yes, I know KSU gets back some prev injuried folks in the secondary. Though Snyder is a magi, 12.5 points seems quite reasonable and even favorable to a team that is expected to have only a 6-6 record this season...

I don't see Stanford coming out flat to begin the season once again. They learned the hard way last year losing a playoff spot. They'll be facing UCLA and Washington the next couple of games to probably decide who'll win the PAC-12. They'll go out to beat ksu in a convincing way

I like the under here, two unknown QB's replacing huge gaps on both O Lines, and K State will be much better on defense this year. 4 All big 12 guys on defense and will probably be trying to burn clock on the other side of the ball.
I would expect both teams to run the ball quite a bit... Obviously McCaffrey will get a huge chunk of the work, for K state expect a mix of 2-3 backs and Ertz who is actually very quick to run the ball 10+ times. I'm thinking Stanford in a 27-17 type of game.
