My initial lean was OSU, thinking they would be the better D team and Prior should be able to move the ball on Ark D. However, my thoughts on each teams game plan would be the following:
OSU, pressure Mallett, blitz, blitz, blitz. OSU was not very good at getting to QBs this year so this will take great effort and they will have to send LBs and DBs to get the pressure. Ark does have some very fast RBs who can burn OSU if they solely focus on stopping Mallett. IF OSU cannot get pressure, they are toast. OSU has not faced a quicker team this year at WR or a QB with the arm and accuracy as Mallett. IF they control the D line and get that pressure they will win the game.
ARK, contain Prior. Make him throw to beat you. Stack the line of scrimmage and force OSU to throw the ball. Prior will have some success but not enough if Ark is able to contain him and shut the run down. Ark has played pretty good D this year and played hard against some very tough opponents. I think they get it done tonight.
