Texas -13.5 over Arizona St ****
Stop Skattebo . Iowa St game plan that didn't work was empahaized by loading the box,practice all week " veritically,keeping him in front of you,Gang tackling etc etc It didn't work because he gained 166 yds on 16 carries and scored 2 touchdowns and 2 receptions for another 40 yds . He has a low center of gravity and "once he gets his engine going he is hard to stop". Teams all year have devised ways to stop him but all failed But Texas D is underrated because of all the headlines their offense gets most of the front pages of the sports sections. Texas I think is one of the best teams on defense in the country. Skattebo is known for getting hit but missed tackles he continues to gain yds. He uses his stiff arm to Ward off tackles. You hit him and he causes you to miss him . He has great feet and balance. But Texas has the 12th best rushing defesne in the country and are very athletic and quick. Texas DL and LB's are quick and strong Texas Db's are athletic and fast. And Zona who knows no one expected to be playing in this game are a 2 touchdowns underdog. But their Qb and players are talking smack about Texas. ASU QB is claiming to be better then Ewers and team etc If I am the zona coach I would tell my player the best way to get respect is to quietly beat their butts on the field Why give Texas more incentive with locker room headlines for them . Sneak up on them even though we kicked Iowa St ass's. Sark the Texas coach I'm sure is using the Sun Devils quotes in his locker room I think although no one has stopped Skattebo think they slow him down. It hasn't worked this year yet but think the Longhorns game plans are going to subsitute with different schemes to keep their star in check. Arizona St I think as a 2 touchdown underdog should keeps its smack talk down. It's ok to have some because you guys earned it but once you get this close as the italians say " Cuida la Boca " shut your mouth" Think Sark and his coaches come out and shut down the Sun Devils on defense and win by a few touchdowns Spoken like a true Longhorn homer that I have become .
