So my buddy was in Vegas end of July, early August, and I told him to get a ticket for me on Texas to win the national title.  Everywhere I looked online had them 100-1.  When he came home, MGM Grand only had them at 40-1.  He didn&#x27;t shop around, but why so low?

Didn&#x27;t even mention cashing it or it winning, but beating ND helps. Hadn&#x27;t posted, but have been wondering why it was so low at MGM in Vegas when everywhere else was 100.  Plus my buddy only gave me the ticket yesterday, first I had seen him since his trip.  Just a simple question, slow your roll.

This team is too self-sabotaging to win it all.

Look at the miscues!

1. A chop block to knock them out of FG range when the game was tied.

2. 21 unanswered.

3. What might be an unprecedented way to go from being up a FG to allowing the other team to tie with the blocked Xtra-pt return.

No way in hell can this team win it all. I wouldn't put a single dime on it.

And why so low? Plain and simple: Texas is a very public team.

They have their own network bankrolled by ESPN so you get cross-promotion on the biggest sports network in history. That influences cash flow on these futures, almost always in a positive way (for the team itself).

First game of the season way too early to judge a team. Lots of mistakes on both sides. Both teams appear to be "quality" football teams, meaning they have the talent to be very good. The chop block was an attempted chop block, the low guy got nothing but air. The lineman obviously had the wrong blocking scheme. First game it happens.

That was a fantastic game!

On your bet, all it takes is one super big, or several big bets to drop the odds. Maybe some rich Texan dropped a bundle on the horns.
