I have been trying to find out the status and health of Texas Tech QB Alan Bowman, but it seems Kingsbury is being pretty hush hush about it. From a report 2 days ago, I know he has been practicing, but will he start this Saturday? I think The Red Raiders will cover regardless, but it would make me much more comfortable having Bowman throwing the ball instead of the other QB's.
Thank you!

I saw bookmaker took the line off -20 last night and thought it was weird... checked don best they downgraded to doubtful .... saw today they had it back at -18.. I think they were playing the middle somewhere if other guy was back I'd think it would pop over 21..
Anyway, just my observation... I'm rolling Kansas +20 ... Tech goes to iowa state after then Okla on deck and Texas in the hole... just beat KU and stay safe, might need Duffy back soon if Bowman's other lung collapses....

What I saw was as of yesterday Bowman has yet to practice in pads in a team setting. They are being overly cautious with him due the nature of the injury.
The original game 1 starter Carter played briefly against TCU and went 2-3 for 12 yards. But you could tell his mobility was limited.
So my take is Duffy is going to get the nod again. They won with Duffy against TCU but I think that was due to the ineptness of TCU that night more than anything. It was the worst offensive performance I had seen from Patterson's team in years, 3 bad turnovers gets you beat.
I'm not sold on the Duffy kid yet. He is raw and appears to struggle with his progressions. Quick to take off out of the pocket. He's had success making positives on broken plays.I'll give him credit because it has worked out for him SO FAR. More of a runner than a passer. He led them back in a furious 2nd half rally against WV, big plays on wild scrambles, but when the game was on the line he made a really bad decision and threw it right to the WV db for a pick 6. Obviously, his long run for the td won the game last week. But, only 17 points. He is just not the great passer that Kingsbury usually has. Which is why he was 3rd string.
Looks like a tough slate this week compared to the last 2. You know you are searching when you are thinking if they bump TxTech to -21 am I really gonna make a play on the Jayhawks. Lol
If you can't close you can't cover.
