thats a fucking atrocious call....i dont give a fuck if its a "rule"....one salute is going to cost k state the game....absolutely unbelievable....this will spark a huge debate once again on this bullshit college celebration rule....fuck the officials....no money on the game either. my plays are posted in my bowl thread.

But it&#x27;s not a rule that is always called. You can&#x27;t let one team salute and then penalize another team that does. I&#x27;ve watched plenty of games where players salute and don&#x27;t get flagged. You can&#x27;t leave it up to a referee&#x27;s discretion. It is either a flag or it isn&#x27;t. Say for example player A scores a TD one week, salutes and not flag. Then the same player A scores a TD the next week and gets flagged. You can never let that happen.

Syracuse got a personal foul in the first half for "eye contact".  The calls even out, and the rulebook apparently is pretty clear about saluting being a penalty.

If it was more clear these refs would call it every time. They clearly do not. They pick and choose when they wanna call it. You can't do that. It's either a penalty 100% of the time or not. And if you watch enough football you know it is not called all the time.
