Thoughts on TX: Everyone seems to forget about TX's D. It's front 7 just plains stops a normal running attack. They continue to send D-backs to the NFL. They are most likely grateful they are not playing a duel threat QB, and I think this is huge.
TX Off: great numbers, but hasn't clicked totally this year. IMO, they have held off of letting Colt run much (fear of injury).. but when they needed Colt to run vs OU and A&M they simply dialed it up. I would THINK, there is no holding back tonight and Colt will be more of a running threat tonight. But they have not run him like in years past or with VY this year. The Nebraska game is more of a positive I think, it's easier to prepare a team who has talent and knows what they need to do differently... more focus in the last month.
Bama: Saban is king. I think (?) that this team was prepared, planned, and organized months and months back on How to beat FLA. Saban did it. He dominated Fla worse than he did Aub, Kent, SCar, LSU, or Tenn. The SEC is great, but those teams were NOT great this year (bowl games can be over-rated but only Aub won vs lowly N.W. in Ot.) and none of them covered the spread (maybe Kent, forgot).
My experience is when Saban (LSU) dominated OU the first half... But then he called off the horses and gave OU a chance to win it.
IMO, Saban likes to get a lead... and then protect it by running the ball, safe passes, and field position. Lurking on another teams mistake while they are in panic mode.
Who is the better team? I really don't know.. But I think both defenses will dominate. Colt running the ball (if) may open up things for TX. But Colt is also more incline to throw a pic.
But with both teams D's... and both teams good kickers ( I know TX has both a great punter and FG kicker)... I have a hard time not just taking points... and a strong lean to the Under...
Just FYI

Glad to see someone who acknowledges that the SEC is not god's gift to football conferences this season. Just like the Big 12 may be overrated, I feel the SEC is overrated as well. I'm on Texas, in a close matchup, I'll take the better QB, which is McCoy in my opinion. Hookem' Horns baby!!
