I'm not a believer by any means when it comes to Miami. They have proved nothing up to this point and the one game they played against one good team they got dominated. The qb stinks, he can't throw. He leaves at least 6 wide open passes on the field and is good for 2 picks. Who knows how the defense is, against Florida they did anything they wanted with Driskel no less. The pass defense numbers are good but mean nothing because stopping offensive power houses GT,USF,SAV, and FAU prove little. I have more questions than answers for them right now, I can't believe they are ranked 11. No way should they be anywhere near top 15.
UNC has very good individual talent and has players that will play on Sundays. Their problem right now is they are so young on defense and find ways to lose. At 1-4 it's not as bad as it looks, the combined record of those teams is 26-11 and three road losses they played well. The one loss that's troubling is ECU. The back half of the schedule is much easier. The bye came at the perfect time getting Renner, Morris (RB) and Tapley (WR) will finally be 100% this is the healthiest they've been all year. Lets call a spade a spade the ACC stinks, the entire conference was awful last week so there is the anything can happen factor in this conference.
The main reason I like UNC is this is their Super Bowl and biggest game of the year at home in front of the CFB world in what should be a very lively crowd. They would like nothing more than to ruin the Canes season. They will be on a much higher emotional plane and bring considerable more energy especially early. I'm not going to try and sell you Miami will come out flat because the spot isn't awful for them but maybe they start to believe their own press clippings. Read the forums, people here gush like this team is a contender, more sheep in wolfs clothing imho. The 2nd reason is the line, I had it at 6 but we get 8.5 (at the moment). I have a difficult time believing a team that has proved nothing is now giving more than a TD on the road in conference in what is usually a tight game. On paper it looks ugly for UNC but this line is more perception than reality.
I have not bet the game. I want to take UNC but need time to mull it over and may easily make it a no play. Want to see how the line moves, what the forums think, %'s etc still plenty of time until kickoff. Just thought some might want to get a discussion going.

Kinda think Louisville cruises tomorrow night, too. They had their clunker last week. UCF is on everyone's radar now. Probably a day late and a dollar short. Good luck the rest of the way tonight.
