Kinda like OU's last 4 BCS games?
Kinda like OU's last 4 BCS games?
Kinda like OU's last 4 BCS games?
ok, but let me ask you something... did you bet against OU big in those 4 BCS games? because other than the Boise St game, i did!
this is a much different team...
bandit, here is my reasoning... and take it with a grain of salt, because i will most likely just enjoy this game, or at the most have small entertainment action...
1) the SEC is NOT the SEC this year... look at what Florida has done, and realize that it has been against a very weak SEC conference this year... LSU has gone into the toilet, Tennessee is complete crap, and Georgia was the most over-hyped team in football this year... and those are the GOOD SEC teams...
2) the Big 12 is no joke! i know the defense in the Big 12 is shoddy at times, but remember that it is shoddy against some of the best offenses in CFB... arguably 4 of the 5 best QBs in the country play in the Big 12 (of course, the other is Tebow)...
3) in those past BCS games, OU believed that they were the better team... they had been puffed up by playing in a Big 12 that WAS a joke, but anyone who watched closely knew that OU was a mirage... this year, OU is getting no respect... i think there is a perception that the status quo has remained the same (i.e. SEC is the ruler of the CFB world, and the Big 12 is still a joke)... but reality is much different...
i am a firm believer that, come bowl time, the teams that made their way through the stiffest competition to get to where they are benefit in the big games... in this particular game, that is OU! yea, Florida beat Alabama, and i like what Bama did this year... but realistically, Bama cruised through a very easy schedule, with the only really tough game being the game in Athens, where they caught an over-rated Georgia team with their pants down...
i may be wrong... but when i see 9 out of 10 people saying "Florida will kill Oklahoma," i'm thinking lambs to the slaughter...
i would simply advise treading lightly on this game, if you must play it... there are much bigger (i mean MUCH bigger) mismatches out there to take advantage of... this game can go either way...

I fail to see how the result of OU’s last 4 BCS games has anything to do with whether or not I bet against them.

because hindsight is 20/20... those games have nothing to do with this one, and those teams were not comparable to this one...
