Hello cover members I don't usually do write-up / discussions but I decided to give it a try. I will mostly discuss Utah since I have watched every Utah game so far in this shorten season and I can tell you that they are not a very good team. They compete well in the first half of games but when the 2nd half comes around they are a no show. They scored a total of zero points in both the Washington and USC game in the 2nd half. To breakdown the competition is somewhat hard as we have a small sample size but with an eye test this is what I see. USC is an understandable loss as they do look legit. But that is not really saying much because we are talking about the PAC and in my opinion it is a pretty weak. Washington won against a winless Arizona team and beat Utah. They lost last week to Stanford and Colorado who they are playing this week. Last week they played OSU. For the first time scored in the 2nd half with 14 points. If you didn't watch that game against OSU, OSU played with 2nd string QB and 2nd string RB until he got hurt and they put in the 3rd string RB in the 2nd half. It should be an easy win right? But they got complacent after scoring on their last touchdown on the punt return and started smelling themselves and that almost bit them in butt as OSU came roaring back. Their defense got idiotic penalties that kept OSU in the game. Only standout in that game was their star RB Jordan with 167 yds on the ground with a td and 22 yds in receiving. To me it wasn't a convincing win to prove they are a good team. Now they play an undefeated Colorado team that is fighting for the PAC title. Colorado should have a lot of motivation as if they lose this and USC wins the shot at the title is over. There is some controversy with this as USC had to cancel their game with Colorado because of COVID issues on their team and they are benefiting from it. If Colorado has the same record or losses USC are the champ, so they basically need to keep winning and hope USC loses. Also I don't think there is a makeup game against USC. Anyway back to Colorado they are both 4-0 in wins and ATS so this line to me makes no sense at -2 at home. They have a great RB Broussard that ran 301 yds last week. I know they played Arizona but the past 3 games before he ran over 120 yds in each game. They also have a mobile QB Noyer that is good at both running and passing. If you look at ESPN PAC-12 stat leaders Colorado has multiple players rank higher in every category on both offense and defense besides one, interceptions Vonte Davis has 2 while 3 Colorado players have 1. Utah has done well against RBs but they haven't seen star like Broussard yet.
So that is my writeup for this game I want to put the double amount of my usual bet but the line is mind f*cking when all signs are pointing Colorado. Looking for some kind of discussion as if anybody is taking Utah and their take on the game.
I been on this site for a long time and appreciate all the vets that are here that actually discuss and give picks and their reason why. Decided its time to step up a bit and put out good info and my opinion on games I'm interested placing bets on.
Thanks

Forgot to mention might be a revenge game for Colorado as they got a beatdown from Utah last yr 15-45. Different players tho on both sides of the offense both QB and RBs are not on the team on both sides. Colorado lost the past 3 years and the first time being favored in the matchup since 2016.

I have watched Colorado twice and Utah once and I cannot believe this line either. Colorado has shown a lot of fight also, they remind me a lot of San Jose State in some ways this year and San Jose State is only favored by the same number over Nevada. I am going to dive into this game some more and will get back to you.

Colorado has the number one rush offense and Utah has the number one rush defense, I talked to a Buff backer friend of mine and last year Utah completely shut out Colorado on the ground.

@Winston704 Thanks for the response. I haven't watched Nevada since Kap was the QB on that team but I agree that San Jose State is a scrappy team. I know this game is on Friday but wanted an early discussion before placing a bet. Yeah I notice the #1 vs #1 rushing off/def but I watching Utah's games this year they haven't gone against a good rb till now also with a pretty mobile qb. That can wear down a defense at the late stages of the game and if they are smart can open a lot of play action. Last year they got crushed but Utah has Zack Moss which is a stud and at Tyler Huntley at QB who did have one of the highest pass completions and had a great year till Oregon destroyed him. I feel like their offense has took huge a step back while their defense took a little step back. Also Utah coach is a dumba$$ I seen him make a lot of bonehead calls making his offense pretty vanilla.

Great write up my man. Like you I have been on this site for years but don’t post much. Every year has been the same for me. Get beat up with football (college and NFL) and then make it up and more with college Bball. I try to follow some cappers on here and understand the line movement but football has my number. In the hole again this year and hoping to turn it around with a Colorado pick. Some will say, “dude, move on from football obviously” and I wouldn’t blame them but we are all here to have fun and win some money. (I’m still trying) appreciate your write up and best of luck!

To be fair Oregon state got every single call go their way in that second half I’ve never seen so many things go right for a team as I had Oregon state plus 13

Your correct with that they did get a lot of calls go their way. But there was some when the defense should have been off the field and did some stupid personal fouls that kept the drive alive and the result was a TD. I didn't watch any Colorado games and watch every highlight of the past games they played. What I noticed is that team is lucky to be undefeated. The defense is pretty suspect. They gave up big runs and big passing plays so I see now why the line is where it is. I decided this game is a 2nd half play bet. If Utah is up in the first half I will be taking Colorado.
