I'm 2-1 on Miami plays this year, the lone loss being that terrible Notre Dame game. Going to start posting more plays here as well
I feel Virginia Tech should not be favored in this game for a few reasons:
1. They struggle on the road
2. They struggle in NFL stadiums, I believe their record in NFL stadiums is atrocious
3. Their running game has been struggling all year
4. Their entire defense has actually been piss poor all year and isn't going to be fixed anytime soon.
5. Can't trust Logan Thomas and his inaccurate arm
Now granted Miami's defense had been terrible all year but if you looked at their defense the past two games you'll notice them improving. Gave up 18 to a UNC offense which is their lowest total all year. They held FSU in check for 3Q until the youngins were just exhausted on defense because the offense could not sustain drives to give the defense rest.
Dolphin stadium will be rocking as well. Yes I know the 'Canes have terrible attendance but that is for noon games against terrible opponents. Fans show up to big primetime games like the FSU game, and this will be no different.
Miami's offense will explode on Thursday with the extra days off and Morris and Duke Johnson healed up after the bye. VT's defense isn't what it has been and I feel Miami will expose that.
Miami wins 42-28

I agree here, VT isn't the same as the folks are accustom too. I like Miami in this spot, as a dog at home. As stated prior, Miami hung with FSU for a while. I believe that they come out fired up for the game tomorrow and win outright. The only question that lingers is the youth factor. Can they minimize the mistakes and can they hang on to the pigskin?

Disagree, VT is not their typical powerhouse selves, but match up well tonight with Miami. Both teams know the ACC division is on the line. You don't trust Logan Thomas, but you trust Morris and the frosh RB who has shut down the past 3 games. I trust Beamer, Foster and their D coming on over a historically bad Miami defense.

Duke Johnson isn't the main ball carrier in case you didn't know.
Mike James the SENIOR RB is the main ball carrier. Duke Johnson only receives 8-11 carries a game spelling James who's the bruiser.
Of course I trust Morris more than than Thomas. Morris has at least struggled against GREAT defenses like FSU where he was hurt and ND where his recievers dropped everything.
Lets look at SOS, Miami has faced KSU, ND, and FSU all who are top 10 teams. VT has only faced Clemson. KSU was on the road and ND even though it was said was a neutral game was a ND home game.
Last year Miami was able to pound the ball on a much better VT defense. People are saying Miami struggles on the ground but they've had to abandon the run against KSU and ND which skews the numbers.

I realize that, but they were featuring Johnson before his injury. If you look at what I wrote up for the game, I focused only on ACC stats because I realize those blow out games to KSU and ND will skew the stats.

They were never featuring Duke Johnson, Mike James has and will be the main ball carrier. Eduardo Clements was also the 3rd down back because of Johnson's lack of blocking skills and his case of the dropsies.
Please do not spew false info ;)

Okkk, if you take out the 1st game of the season, Johnson has just 5 fewer carries than James. James is a pounder, but not the featured or main ball carrier. And Johnson tweaked his ankle to cut into his carries.

What about the over both teams seem to be giving up more points than ever. the games Have seen for the canes ( or bits of games) they seem to try to take a shot down field every new set of downs. With VT turning the ball over the way they do it may mean short field for the canes alot tonight. I like the over and canes in this one

Thanks for your insight Hauk! I do mostly in game wagering and took Miami right after Thomas scored on the 70+ yard run for a td. score was 13-9 then. I got it at -3.5 Miami. The info you noted was spot on made for a very easy win.
