Air Force started very, very slow in the 1st half and then turned it on in the 2nd yesterday. BYU looked a hell of lot better than anyone could have thought and that is why I like your AF play. I would have expected BYU as a 3 point favorite on the road. BOL!

Any thoughts on the Orange coming across country in the rematch of Jake Locker's first college game.....I like the UW on the opener (-10) solely on the fact that Sark couldn't call a worse offensive game that at BYU and our receivers can't possibly drop as many balls......but, of course you never know.
GL this week LJ

upside, WahooS; Thanks, guys. I'll probably have the usual 8 - 10 plays this week. Just need to take it slow for a couple days...
Boom Boom; GL to you too.
HOF city; Thanks.
jimmymo; I do like how SYR has finally shaken off the loser mentality of The Robinson Years. Whenever there was a sudden change (INT, fumble, that kind of thing), the team would hang their head. Now, the defense is more than happy to come onto the field to show what their made of...
SYR is limited on defense...not much speed in the LB corp...but they are physical as hell. The offense is simple smash up the middle to open up the edges...but the WR's are better than I thought...
If the line is still -10, that may be too many points for a team that shows up to try to beat the hell out of the opponent.

Talking about change in attitude, Fla St is going through the same thing. Their defense is 100% better than last year.
OK's weakness on D seems to be their CB's. I'm hoping the soft play on defense wasn't a "Lou Holtz" strategy to get next weeks' opponent to underestimate them...

Good stuff in Nostra's thread from atlfader about these teams. (I'd repeat it but no need...just head over to nos's thread...he doesn't get enough traffic!)
Also, I was reading a writeup of IST's weaknesses in @ CloneChronicles.com: "With ISU, some things still worry me though. The linebackers seemed to
make all the tackles on run plays, and we couldn't get a ton of pressure
on the QB without blitzing. After having a good start, Arnaud did slip a
little bit into the Arnaud we saw last year, forcing passes he
shouldn't and causing turnovers. In both situations, he was pressing,
and trying to do too much. Against a better opponent, those mistakes
would have cost us big. Also, don't be fooled by the bad passing totals
from NIU; their receivers beat our secondary on a semi-regular basis,
only to be overthrown a few times by their QB."
I have questions about Iowa's OL, but if IST can't bring pressure, then Stanzi will have time to do his thing...hold the ball too long. It doesn't look like it will get him in trouble this week.
Even though it probably doesn't need to be mentioned...all plays this week are only 1 unit...and if I have another week like last week, the unit size might even be cut in half next week.

Memphis @ ECU Lu Dawgs -12.5 Played it yesterday...Mentioning it only to make sure all the weeks' plays get in...
I thought I was tuned in to the season before last weekend. UCLA and GT were leans but that changed to Stanford and Kansas...Flip-flopping on games is proof I'm not up to speed yet. I think I have a handle on things now..we'll see...

I'm ready for the bounceback week. Good job getting in early on Oklahoma St, it's up to -14 at some spots. Gotta think Bama is in good shape. No real lean on the Rice/NTX gm.
Pags11; Thanks. Good luck to you this year.
