Hey man I can see by your other handle you've made a big play on Virginia. I know you are a big player sometimes
Hand on heart is this a bit of a chase or do you really love this play? And if the latter why not the ML?
Fair questions, Jules. It's not a chase. Ive been known to chase but, tonight, I really like Virginia. My mindset may be a little more unconventional than most. If You liked a game enough to lay down a big wager, you'd probably lay the ml to get the most in return. If I'm laying down a big play on a dog, I feel more comfortable in knowing that I have a little insurance with having a few points in my pocket. Catching 3 points in college football isn't even comparable to catching 3 in the NFL, nonetheless, it's still the way I play. Sometimes, I'll do this with baseball as well. The other day, I took the Angels RL -135 to win a couple of dimes instead of taking the Angels ml at +150. Then a buddy reminded me that only 18% of home chalk win by 1 run. I promptly told him to go fukk himself and I made my Angels rl play. But, he's right. It's just my preference.

AMD. I enjoying your weekly picks in various sports so please don't take me as being too forward or over stepping my status. What is your draw to the Arkansas +8? I am a huge Arkansas fan and we do not match up in a number of spots one mainly being LB/Secondary to A&Ms WRs.I have a feeling that 8-25yds out we get roasted. Jerry's world or not this isn't a game that I am looking forward to. I love the Hogs and have been a fan since birth but this outing I will be wagering against my Razorbacks.
Again enjoy your picks and insight in all sports. BOL to you this weekend and football season.

Hey, thanks for the post. I have no problem with you liking A&M, however, the reason I love Arkansas is because of what I expect them to do with their offensive line. Dominate. I'm not swayed by Arkansas' gross under achievement in the first couple of weeks just as much as I'm not swayed by A&Ms wins over Ball State and Nevada. I, obviously, believe Arkansas will be physical in the trenches and the game will be won at the line of scrimmage. While Arkansas has the biggest offensive line in the country, they will play like the biggest O Line in the country. The Hogs will be nasty against A&Ms weakness which happens to be their run defense. I think Williams will have a big day rushing and I anticipate the Hogs having success on 1st down yds per play. I believe this is a game that Arkansas can certainly win and catching 8 makes this a big play for me.

Their Olive e is huge indeed but slow. We have moved a few linemen around and it hasn't really showed in the run game. Jonathan Williams is out for the season so Alex Collins will start at RB unless of course you are referring to Raleigh Williams or true freshman RB. A&M may be suspect against the run however their 2 stud DE have me concerned. Plus if you have a quick scoring offense that can obtain huge yardage plays then Defense doesn't have to be a big priority. I imagine a game similar to the Texas Tech matchup but against better talent this week.

Yes, I was referring to the true freshman, Williams. I was under the impression he would be seeing a greater workload. At least Arkansas still has depth at rb.
