This was actually one of
the lines when it was released I was surprised. I think if this was an away
game for Georgia, Mississippi State would’ve been favored by 2-3 points. I
should add that going into the season I pegged the Auburn Tigers as the biggest
threat to the Alabama Crimson Tide. After Fitzgerald’s performance last week
against that LSU defense, I’ll add Mississippi State to the list. Georgia you
can kinda say they had their hands full with Notre Dame and barely squeezed by
a win in that game. Mississippi State isn’t Notre Dame & Fitzgerald isn’t Brandon
Winbush
-Fitzgerald
complete 61% of his passes with 7TDs/1int on the year. You can also factor in
the 5TDs on the ground he has will keep Mississippi State in this game. I think
after
-I think this game
will come down to “3rd conversions” and Mississippi State has the
edge on the year so far Mississippi state is converting nearly 47% ( Georgia –
39%) of its 3rd downs, while their opponents only convert 21% (
Georgia – 30%).
-And Dan Mullen
bringing over Todd Grantham as his new Defensive Coordinator has significantly
improved his teams play on defense.
Pick: +5 Mississippi State
