Recap of week 4 (thread linked below). The pattern continued with Miss St losing as double digit away fav and Ok St losing as double digit home fav. And I'm just not going to mention my Hokies. That was just pathetic.
For week 5 the past three years have shown only a single away fav upset when the fav was more than -7 points. That was an out of conference game in 2016 so the away favs this week above -7 should be safe from the upsets (again, based on past years).
For the home favs in week 5, the past three years have shown 1-2 double digit favs each year end up losing the game straight up. These are all in the range from -11 to -13 except for one outlier last year of LSU at -20.5 who lost.
Now of course each year, and each week, is its own entity so no guarantees that any of these trends will continue. But if they do, then the follow games could see one or more possible straight up losses for a favorite.
Away favs in the double digit range based on past years: None
Home favs in the double digit range (-11 to -13) based on past years (LSU, Ohio). There is also TCU and UTSA at -10.5 who could be considered as well based on how close they are to this.

yah .. the last time bc played temple 2004 .. it been awhile , i understand bc had owned them in head to head series but that was back in the ages before i was born lol .. but i would still give temple a shot here with their new head coach !! he be pulling them wins with them women pants on the sideline hahah i seen that against Buffalo .. i was like WTF is this guy wearing .. but when they pulled that win against maryland , it ain't no fluke .. temple program showed me that they got good preps for the game .. but like you said since they already pulled an upset this year , it is kind of hard to pull that kind of ML twice .. it's either they stay close or get blown out !!! BOL to you this week !!!
