If they don&#x2019;t score, you can just win on a fg&#x2026;say you went on offense first and it&#x2019;s 4 and 1. You wanna kick or go for it? Better to let the other team make that call

To me it&#x27;s a no-brainer doing defence first.. A bit like position in poker.. Surprised there&#x27;s not a bigger difference in win %&#xA;I ran some basic theoretical numbers and I came up with 51/49. Maybe 52/48

I googled it and for college defense first was 54.9 which surprised me, however this was college only and done in 2007.
