Seemed like loss was conceded when punted at the ~8 min mark in about that same spot as the 4 min mark  .. Miami 3 straight scores and UAB unable to move quickly ... punt = loss ... Mixing up the QB's was down 1 score in Q2.... first sign they weren't in it to win it ..

old school coach... coaching not 'to win'....but 'not to lose'...or 'to not lose by too much'

answer is simple: never bet as a dog, esp. to a much stronger team....he seldom does well in this spot
