Why we bet on Thursday nights...

I have seen them both play. Enjoy watching Sun (aka The Fun) Belt games. 

I NEED that injection of action!  That's why I bet and now I'm regretting it.  Had my bet locked in for tonight from 2 nights ago and I ended up betting on 2 other games for tonight.  My original pick was a winner, Arkansas State -13.5 but my other 2 impulse, "lock" bets were losers... 

$20 guy here too. Makes the games fun to watch. I've been doing this for 45 years. Since I retired I'm putting more time in researching and have been doing great the last couple of weeks (after a horrendous start). Point is, don't bet with your food money. GL all.

You said it yourself.....Just take a decent size wager and play a few games a week....all these cappers on the forums want to prove they can pick games everyday.  Whats the point in proving anything except to make make money right? Look at the degenerates that played NFL this Thursday which was one of the worst games to watch this season on primetime.  Why even touch that game a 1-4 Cardinals team who could give a sh.it about their season and a Broncos team who cant hang with the big boys but looked like they beat Ball state in Arizona.....Pick your games wisely....for example dont even play NFL this week because this weeks lineup looks like trash....did you watch tonights game? Can you really just play a few games a week? Play just this 2 team teaser and keep an eye out for Hawaii on Saturday night they just got smoked in BYU but look to bounce back at home...…..You have to think sharper and stay disciplined especially 5 weeks in where most of the lines are sharp and books have adjusted to lines.

and when that hits take a look at Hawaii 

You know what....scratch that don't even take Hawaii at -3 because that game looks sharp as fu.ck chasers will be playing Hawaii Saturday night.....Just take the winnings from the 2 team teaser from your book and hold onto it for another wise play.  Don't blow all your winnings on the Patriots this sunday like my coworker did last week play phucking smart and hit and run that's the key

Yeah man... you gotta stay smart... go though the weeks lines, pick the ones that stand out to you, then cap them throughout the week. I have locked in maybe two games Saturday. Two tonight. If I go down I stop, if I go up with my early day games, I bet mid day games, so on so fourth.

I felt the same way about NFL, but check the team totals, you can get a good idea of who to bet, I had like 4 games, but looked harder and came up with a good card. I'm only playing like 6 or 7 college games. 

I seem to find more value in Thursday night games than I do most days.  Friday I've found is off limits. I once heard it called "bookie's day" on here and it has turned out to be true more times than I can count.  

The thing I like about Thursday night games is that they are usually no-name opponents and the lines aren't very sharp and there are big swings in the games so you can pounce on an inflated live bet and wait until the momentum swings the other way to grab a nice middle.  Worst case you lose the juice, but more times than not you can win them both.

Of course, I make most of my money live betting, so this may not work for everyone.

This is what I usually do too.  Go through and look at the lines that I really like, but then try to find a reason not to bet it.  Lines that look good are usually meant to look good, so what is going on to make me want to bet that game? I have a whole spreadsheet I go through for each game to document things I find important for each game, then choose a side or total to bet.

After locking in who I like, I bet the games in progression throughout the week/day and look for reverse line movement and other tells you can get from last-minute line movements.
