According to the Vegas Guy (Chuck Esposito of Caeser's) on the Colin Cowherd show says OSU would be 6 point favorite in title game vs WVU. That could be the joke line of the season. That means ML will be around 2-1. I know who I will be pounding.

With you there, as long as White and Slaton refrain from their usual 5 turnovers in big games, this should be close game with WVU's offense being too much for the Buckeyes. But look for Beanie Wells to have a MASSIVE day. I'll be looking for prop bets on how much yards he puts up.

This can&#x27;t be serious.  WVU has the most speed that OSU has seen since... Florida last year.  OSU has a vanilla offense that WVU should be able to contain (unlike, say Missouri)  WVU would score real quick against OSU like they do AGAINST EVERY SINGLE TEAM that hasn&#x27;t seen them before:see: Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, etc. etc.When teams play WVU for the first time, WVU lights them up in the first half.I&#x27;m sure Tressel would figure us out by the 2nd half, but they don&#x27;t have enough firepower to outscore us by then, and this WVU team is deeper and more talented than the teams that beat Georgia in Atlanta or Georgia Tech etc.I would take WVU at anything less than WVU -7.  OSU as a favorite would be a gift.

I would love to put some major cheddar on West Virginia in this one.  I am torn this weekend, I obviously want my Sooners to win, but I think Mizzou/West Virginina would be a way better game than watching the stinkeyes get trounced.

hutch - that OSU team was special, this team is notthis year&#x27;s version is playing in the worst bcs conference...seems like the 85 scholarship limit hurt the big 10 (depth went to the MAC) Illinois is a younger, inexperienced poor mans version of West Virginia...

I love how everyone says there is no speed at OSU or in the Big Ten. I know it did not go well afterwards, but does everyone forget seeing Ted Ginn do Warp 6 past all the Florida guys on the opening kickoff? OSU has a guy named Ray Small who is about as fast as Ginn. Their RB Brandon Saine set the Ohio high School sprint record as a Jr, and then broke his own record as a Sr. I guarantee he is as fast as Slaton or White. The line would be close to even or OSU as a favorite because the linesmakers realize that OSU would score plenty on WVU&#x27;s defense, and they figure that OSU&#x27;s defense would figure out something against the spread offense. They actually didn&#x27;t do all that bad against Illinois&#x27;s spread, Illinois really only should have scored 21. (That first TD was such a freaking fumble).

^^^ Ohio State&#x27;s claim to speed was one freak who graduated last year.West Virginia will have the 4 fastest and most explosive players on the football field: Pat White, Steve Slaton, Darius Reynaud and Noel Devine.Remember when Georgia&#x27;s supposedly fast, uber-athletic, hard hitting defense that was battle tested in the rugged SEC was supposed to shut West Virginia down in the Sugar Bowl?Ooops, WVU scored 28 points in the first quarter... and that was when these guys were FRESHMEN.  Imagine what they would do to a slower OSU defense NOW.

This might be the first time all year I&#x27;ve agreed with WVU fans/backers.  I think if this is the match-up, the smart bet is the WVU first half or first quarter line.  WVU makes a bad habit of dicking around in the last quarter or two and letting the other team back in it to make it close, but they typically get up big and fast first.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;I&#x27;m kind of with "thesoonernation" here. . .  as a fan, I would actually like to see a better game, and I think Mizzou/WVU would be a great one to watch. . .  as a bettor, Please God make it a WVU/Ohio State matchup.

what about uh slaton? er uh devine? er uh reynaud?all 4 of them run sub 4.5s....its gonna come down to if osu can imposed their will and slow the game down and stretch everything out and cover every cutback lane.. cause if they mess up 1 time its a TD.... so how perfect can the osu defense play??btw got a wvu bcs champ ticket before the season started at 7:1... im very lucky to be in the spot i am

&#xD;&#xA;There are plenty of guys who run sub 4.5&#x27;s on OSU. Let&#x27;s look at this logically to figure out team speed. Every team in the NFL is essentially composed of an all-star team of college players from usually within the last ten years. What is the one thing that is always said about college players needing to adjust to in the NFL? Its the SPEED of the game. A quick count from AOL&#x27;s website shows there are currently about 54 players from OSU on NFL rosters. There are currently 15 from WVU. Now the fastest guy is not always going to be the most successful in the NFL, but usually he will all else being equal. I mean they do have something called the Draft Combine, right?
