Not your typical UNLV team from past years, I'm riding the chalk again for the 2nd week in a row. This team is starting to believe & they'll be amped up for the inter-state rival.   To take from T.O., "GET your SPRAY PAINT ready!!!!"

Teams don't usually cover the following week after winning in overtime. i will back the boys from Reno and take the points in this matchup. Go Wolfpack

They beat ASU in OT to get the ball rolling & Covered in the ISU Game in OT. No way in the hell, I'd follow that trend.

I didn't quote a trend when i made that statement. I merely stated the truth. Of course nothing in the world of wagering is 100%, but
overtime two straight weeks is exactly one of the reasons why I am fading them this week. With 91% on the side of UNLV, could you please explain to me what trend you are looking up that can explain why the spread fell to -3.5 on some books?
 
Moreover than that doesn't it concern you that the Rebels were favored by 4, yet the moneyline was only -175 for them and +155 for Nevada? It should have been -200 and +170. Not good...
 
After 10 quarters of football, I'll take my chances on the dog in this game, and back the boys from Reno. I wish you well with your UNLV play. Your avatar says it all with respect to where your heart is.

I'm probably going to have a heart attack from actually typing this, but the pick is UNLV.  First time I've ever said that.  There are four reasons I say this.  1.  Nevada has beaten them the last three years and all of the seniors on UNLV's team that have last through three horrible years are going to want this instate rival game.  2.  UNLV is at home and that will make a difference because....3. Las Vegas is, for the first time in years, getting behind the football team after knocking off two BCS schools.  The fourth reason should be obvious.  4.  Nevada is just a terrible team.  Yeah texas tech and Missouri were far superior schools but Nevada looked really really bad and even at the end of last year they were playing pretty poorly.  UNLV is riding high right now because no one ever expects them to win three games in a season, let alone three of the first four and two against BCS schools.  They will be up for this game.  UNLV is the play.  Good Luck.

I'll admit I haven't seen a snap from either of these teams this season, but i think I'm going to put a small play on Nevada +4. Here's my take:
 
- Nevada at 1-2 not as bad as you think they are with losses to Texas Tech and Missouri.
 
- UNLV at 3-1 not as good as you think they are with wins over Iowa State, Utah State, and the Arizona State win coming in the perfect look-ahead spot.
 
- Nevada coming off of a bye week while UNLV has played four straight including two overtime games.
 
My point: I think Nevada is in the perfect "live dog" spot getting an extra week to prepare for their first contest against their own level of talent. I wouldn't be suprised to see a scenario where it takes Nevada a little while to find a rythym and/or UNLV runs out of gas toward the end of the game, and I think that if you are leaning UNLV then the 1st quarter is your best bet.
 
Actually I'm going to break my bet up and put half on UNLV 1Q and half on Nevada for the game.
