Bob Davie is a nice guy but whenever he is giving points is usually the outcome. With that being said I'll lose my money on the Roadrunners to cover the 7 points in the Cactus State now known as the Land of Enchantment.

The RRs QB can sling, but I think wins and covers with ball control. If this game were in SA, then different story. From what I have seen the RRs are not the same team on the road. But, this is with a month to prepare. So we will see. Like The Wolves -7.

Windy weather conditions in Albuquerque today with winds steady at 25-30 MPH with gusts up to 50 Mph possible. This favors the Lobos as the Roadrunners rely on the pass much more than New Mexico. It also might help to hide a weak Lobo pass defense that gives up 8.7 yds per attempt while opposing QB's average a 151.2 QB rating. Motivation is a little tricky. Will UTSA just be happy to be there after becoming bowl eligible in the last week of the regular season to play in their first bowl in school history? Will New Mexico be disappointed to be at home for the bowl season after playing in the New Mexico bowl last year? I believe New Mexico will be motivated trying to become only the fifth team to win 9 games in school history. New Mexico has not had alot of success in bowl games winning only once in the last 55 years but this year they play a team they should handle. The Lobos playing on their home field with a weather advantage, travel advantage, experience advantage and I believe a motivational advantage. Normally I would not look at an over on the total with these wind conditions but that's exactly why the total has dropped 8.5 pts since it opened. New Mexico is 10-2 over on the season and 6-0 over at home and with the passing game being a small part of their offense I think there is value at over 54. But WTF do I know? Got in on New Mexico just in time before the line jumped 2 pts somebody else is liking the Lobos too. New Mexico -7.5 Over 54 GLTA!
