I can only start a thread here. Cannot start a new one in NHL or NFL or Soccer forums.

Hey Raiders22, I was able to make multiple threads in various other forums on your account. So it's likely on your browsers end for this. I would recommend clearing your browsing data and cached images and files within your browser settings. After that close your browser completely, and re-login and attempt to make a new thread.
