We appreciate you taking the time to write this feedback and we can see that you are very passionate about the issue. There are many reasons that have lead to this decision and you are not wrong, running 2 forum platforms side by side is in no way a sound business decision nor is it feasible for us at the moment. The old forum is not:
- Responsive (does not fit in mobile devices properly, reducing our ranking with search engines such as Google, not user-friendly for people with visual disabilities)
- Not compatible with new technology (not able to add search, email notification, editing posts, etc.)
I understand that you might not care about any of the above but we feel that these are important issues to most users and we would love to keep adding new tools to the forum to help our users engage even more.
If you have any specific feedback about the new forum (usability, technical or design-wise) we would love to hear it.
