Guys isn't it about time to totally revert to the old forum forum until you can figure how how to format simple text? This is web programming 101. This is a forum where text is everything. I have no idea how your 15 year old highschool programmer still has a job - it's not working. Is it really taking 4 months since the first complaint? 4 months? Really? To format text correctly? WTF?

Could you let us know what exactly you are referring to/having issues with. The previous posts you made about the fonts and font coloring have been looked at and were believed to be corrected.
Are you still having issues with these?

I believe everyone is having issues - just look at some posts - like BirdsOnBat in MLB and switch between new and old and you will see the difference.
Folks in the WorldCup forum also complaining as of 2 days ago (VanZack for one he doesn't post much so these issue are new to him)
Also the 4000 character limit flagged me fo a post that has (including spaces) 774 (635 without spaces).
Your programmers need to expand this column on your DB and not count HTML tags. Your programmers need to get rid of old HTML one someone changes a font or size. That's why everyone is over the limit - you're counting things that should even be there in the first place - let alone be counted.

Hello Barney,We have let our IT team know of these issues.- CT
The issue still exists after 5 months - forums which are primarily based on text, fonts, text size, text color and quotes still eludes this forum - that's the equivalent to "I am preparing you corn flakes for breakfast and it should be ready in a few days."
So I'm a bit scathing, I know, can't help it but a few days to pour cornflakes in a bowl and add milk? I already gave you the code that you are missing to fix this - you are missing a dash when you save the markup on the database - it is clobbering the CSS directive when it comes out of the DB and into these HTML pages. Unless you remediate the database every post initiated in the new forum is corrupt from a text standpoint on the DB.
Just sayin'.

4.5 months later a forum based on text still has the same issues? Would love to work for you and deliver similar results without getting fired or losing the contract.
Are you guys planning on fixing the website you rolled out 9 months ago? The situation is worse now as using the old site to post and the old site to view at least the fonts, font face, size and formatting were taken into consideration. Whatever release they did 4-6 weeks ago caused more damage by breaking the old site.
If you are going to still kick the can down the street and it's going to stay this piece of crap let me know and I won't bother to complain. You don't realize that in the long run you are losing the potential of keeping many new posters who give up quietly and go to another forum/website.
Every nickel you spend on getting your site up to a competitive level comes back to you dressed up as a dollar.

We greatly appreciate your feedback, please don't take the lack of changes as us ignoring your comments because we certainly are not and have passed them along.
An overhaul of the forums is on the docket, unfortunately we do not have an exact time frame on the project. We thank you for your patience in the matter.

There are much bigger problems - appreciate the feedback. If I had more time I'd ask for access to test region and offer to fix some of these minor issues in my spare time...

Folks just wondering of you are ever going to add that dash in order to fix the font-face CSS directive? It one keystroke if you want to fix the text going forward (the old text is hosed unless you run a conversion vs your DB but that would be around a week's worth of work). Right now and for over a year this site struggles with formatting text and quoting text.
With all the extra money you're making on ads it would seem likely that the bugs for the past 16+ months would surely be fixed. What else could these developers be working on that has bumped simple text formatting that is the staple of every forum? There was one change since the original complaints and that made matters worse.

Forum still can't handle text, size and colors and quoting but you've got a pagination selector that's new and sucks and forces us to change the URL if we wish to directly go to a specific page.
This is to make those who don't change the URL forced to see every page in order to show more ads? If that is the case these folks click to the next page without seeing those "extra" ads as they load too slow.
Also this quoting thing is not fixed. Why not work on that? Isn't it embarrassing that every day posters are confused with who is quoting what? This happened in FF's post last week.
Here is one of many examples that just happened 5 minutes ago:

Try to create a post with a courier new font that is evelyn spaced. Then check out that post. It still does not work.
