How is the following feature working?

Hi Covers. What is supposed to be doing the following feature? I don't see anything happening when I choose to follow some users.

If you click on your username from the drop-down menu below the silhouette in the top corner, you will see a 'Following' tab. Here you will see the users you are following. There you can click on their avatar to see a list of all their recent posts, making it quicker to find recent posts from them.
