I'm only going to report this once. I might not have access to IP's (although with all the talk of IP blockers, I'm sure that's taken care of), but I have a pretty good brain and I know this guy is a SAF of the guy that got me in trouble last year.
*A bombastic, self important user name
*Self promotion and need for attention
*That swollen, pompous style of writing, with excessive pseudo politeness built in
*The repeated requests for "positive energy" (verbatim like last time)
*The continuous bumping of his own thread.
Yep, he's back. And I reported it to you, and now I'm done with it.

No worries, I know he's not breaking any posting rules. Some people just can't hide their "persona", this guy is an alias of a previously banned poster. I report spammers, touts, aliases etc, because they bug me. You guys take care of the other end of things.
Have a great day at work with very little emails of bitching, whining members.

So in the past week, numerous people other than me have identified this guy as a previously banned poster. Not all of those are friends of mine either:
So, same as last time he posts plays, but those are only an excuse for page long lengthy (and mindblowingly boring) "essays" on every chicken soup for the soul topic available, with the sole intent of becoming some kind of forum guru that people would flock to.
The self promotion and thread bumping are standard of course.
Which leads me to this question, if Covers is serious about enforcing the SAF policy, is it not time to update the sign up procedure, because all a banned member has to do is change the IP address or use any type of masking device and he's good to go?
I would require a credit card, even if there is no charge, or something anyway. Because the tool of banning will stop being effective in modifying members behaviour when they realize it's that easy to circumvent.

Again, he may very well be this alias you claim him to be, but until a rule is broken, I cannot ban someone for simply posting their plays, regardless of how long the write ups are.
Let us know as soon as he does anything against the rules and we will take care of it.

I'm well aware he's not breaking any rules (other then his obvious identity) , that's not why I posted this, with this SAF in mind and that other cretin who keeps bumping threads in the soccer forum I wanted to stimulate a conversation about Covers' sign up requirements so all these issues could be prevented.
But I'm not very literate in these matters and maybe that would require an overhaul that would be more costly than the possible benefits, but maybe someone wants to throw it on the table at your next staff meeting?
Have a good one.

We have recently added an email verification process for new users, which has helped with some spammers who would just create new email addresses. This has certainly helped.
Regardless of what we do, there will always be people who can get around it.
Slowly but surely we are making progress, the ability to keep the site fun and easy for good users, and cleaned of all the spam and touts is the end goal here.
Thanks again,
