u can look at it as -1.5, -2.0. half ur bet is on -1.5, the other half is on -2.0. so if ur team wins by 2, u have a half win half push. half ur stake is returned as a push and the other half is returned multiplied by the decimal odds of the selection. if ur team wins by 1 its a full loss. if ur on +1.5, +2.0 (+1.75) and ur team loses by 2 its a half loss half push. half ur stake is lost and the other half returned as push. if ur team loses by 1 its full win.

if u bet -0.25 (0.0, -0.5) and ur team wins by 1 u cover both so u win the full bet. if the result is a draw u get a half push and half loss. if u have +0.25 and the result is draw u get half win half push. if ur team loses by 1 then full loss. have to win by 1 or more to fully cover the +0.25.

i guess the quarters on the asian handicap is a bit of an insurance. u can get half ur bet back but u pay a little bit in the odds. 0.25 0.75 1.25 1.75 2.25 2.75 3.25 3.75 4.25 4.75 etc.
