I'm curious to hear what everyone's thoughts are on the wide receivers for the Chicago Bears. Every fantasy site you go to (most of them being run by complete idiots) seems to have a different favorite amongst Chicago WRs.
I think the addition of Mike Martz as offensive coordinator should pay huge dividends for this Bear offense, especially for fantasy purposes. In pretty much every format, Hester was the best Chicago WR last season. Even though that was the case, I think I rank him my 3rd favorite WR on that team. Still not impressed by his route running and I can see him getting relegated to the 3rd WR role. He might return punts though and if he does than his value increases a little in return yardage leagues. Aromashodu is the highest ranked in pretty much every publication/site this year. He came out of pretty much know where at the end of last season when he put up a combined 12 grabs for 3 scores and almost 200 yards weeks 16 & 17. Cutler specifically mentioned him during an interview a couple weeks ago when asked about his team possible "lack of capable wide receivers." Just not sure he's big enough to be a consistent red zone threat. Johnny Knox might be my favorite of the Bear WRs. His size and spead and could work well in this offense. He scored 5 times as a rookie and grabbed 45 balls, and a second year increase in production could easily be coming. I heard he would be splitting kick return duties with Manning, which like Hester, definately increases his value in return leagues. Let's not forget about Earl Bennett either. With the other 3 guys getting all the pub, Cutler's teammate at Vandy could winding up having an impact. All together I think these receivers are better than most people think. We just need to find the one, or two, that will provide fantasy value. Right now I'd rank them: 1. Knox 2. Aromashodu 3. Hester: think Hester is a little drop from the above two 4. Bennett

Good question. I see it breaking down like this. Fantasy wise...
1. Knox. Without question the best WR da Bears. A solid #2/3 wr on any fantasy squad.
2. Hester. Solid value this year. Think the guy puts up really good numbers. Martz system will showcase his SPEED. Remember Holt deep pattern bombs. Well replay that if you will with Cutler cannon arm deep down the middle of the field to a wide open Hester. Speed kills. Awesome #3 value wr on any fantasy squad.
3. Aromashodu. This guy is the wild card. Many think he is a good bet for fantasy production. Im thinking not so much. Just see the other 2 as far more solid bets in terms of production and avg draft position.
4. Bennett/Juan Gonzalez will never amount to jack. Too bad the Bears wasted picks with both these guys.
