Brewers just signed K-rod to minor league contract.
Henderson has has a great week but I don't believe in him long term even though he's on my team.
Axford sucks!!!
Keep an eye on this situation. K-Rod could play big dividends down the road,
No clue who will secure the job in St Louis, Like BWS said Rosenthal is worthy of a look,
Track Jason Mott over the next few weeks and his injury. He could be a 2nd half sleeper.
Greg Holland was getting his behind handed to him with 3 BS already this year and a 9.00 era. Holland walks way too many guys to be a successful closer. He had a great 2nd half last season...I'd say lucky but throughout his career, even in minors, his WHIP has always been way too high.
I love Kelvin Herrera.. He had 2 terrible outings this week...I have no idea what happened but besides that he's been lights out. He throws 96-98, throws strikes and doesn't walk many batters. Again his track record including the minors is strong..
I traded Cingrani last Saturday for Herrera. Herrera will dominate the RP spot going forward unless he gets injured.
some might say I git ripped in that trade but believe me Cingrani stats are overblown pitching in the pacific league..Cingrani will hit his bumps and pitch .500 ball this year.
Hope that helps.

I actually have Motte on the DL on my team, I just keep hearing that he may get shut down for the year.
Do you know who would be next in line behind Boggs? I have heard there isn't a ton of confidence in him and wouldn't be shocked if the Cards went in a different direction if he blew a couple of saves.
I'm basically fishing for someone. I refuse to trade anyone significant for a RP in this league. I'm actually playing Carlos Villanueva in a closer spot right now because if he gets 15 points in a start it's basically as good as a decent closer.

Mujica is closer for Cards for now.... Still don't trust Rosenthal in the 9th even though he's getting better.
I'm screwed if Hanrahan doesn't close when he gets back. Hoping Santiago Casilla can poach some saves since SF doesn't want to overuse Romo. I would only have Janssen for saves, but I'll get a ton of holds.

Was just gonna post about Rondon Chris....

Is it points or rotissere(sp?)? If it's points I wouldn't sweat it too much because you can jungle some relievers that are spot starters in those spots.
Casilla would probably be my first choice in your situation. Another guy I have been eyeing is Joe Ortiz of the Rangers. He hasn't played a ton but he is productive when he plays. He may become a quality set up guy and might see some save opps as the season wears on. His WHIP is around a .86 over 11 innings so far.

Valverde stinks....Leyland is a no bullshit manager. He'll work Rondon in slowly. get him in the 7th and 8th innings first, maybe it takes 4-6 weeks who knows. But Valverde will blow his share of saves along the way. Rondon will get a shot at some point if his control is on point when he enters the game.
I'm holding Rondon in my league.

Mujica was gone already. Ended up dropping Casilla, Hanrahan and Albuquerque. Was left with Janssen (TOR), Rosenthal and Russell, got lucky and grabbed Heath Bell and then just grabbed Jessie Crain a couple days ago. Also stashed Zack Wheeler on my bench before anyone else could get him while I still have Wil Myers in my NA spot.
