Played on Draftstreet last year for about 6 months doing baseball, college football, NFL, NBA, and NHL.... It's ok if you know what you're doing, have a good site (rotoinfo) for injuries/lineups. The shady thing to me about it was that you were always going against the same people whether you were in large leagues, small leagues or even head-to-head leagues. There were about half a dozen guys that were in every league every night in most sports....like they had an unlimited bankroll from $2 leagues up to $420 which used to be the highest but now I see that Draftstreet has up to $2100 now... I tried my best to avoid getting into leagues with them, but only in H2H leagues can you see who you will be playing against (I would then check their earnings.... for example, If they were someone who had cashed out 40 times in only a week or two I'd avoid them). Finding people to go against was about timing... sitting and waiting till someone made a league and then jumping in on it.
It did get addicting...... and it's very easy to blow through a few hundred bucks pretty fast. And watch out for how they do their bonuses... Draftstreet's 1st bonus they gave me was legit...they matched whatever my initial deposit was and it could be used immediately. They offered the same match again when football season started, but instead of putting it straight toward my account, they kept in a separate "Pending Bonus" account, and only took out a few cents at a time out of $100 (took .55 cents out on an $11 entry), so you have to keep playing and putting more into your account to get your full bonus ... I still have $15 left in bonus money from September and I was in a ton of leagues.
If you want to try it go ahead.... I would say just watch for how the bonuses work.

Thank you for the info art and BWS. Seems like there are a lot full time professional fantasy players out there. The legitimacy of the matchups could be compromised if somebody knew how to hack into a site. I guess the "fun of it" is eliminated when money is involved. Have to give this a little more thought!

I just signed up yesterday for www.247drafts.com ... Brand new site that launched literally 2 or 3 nights ago. My buddy told me about it and I am new to the concept as i have never played on any of those other sites. This one seems real good and legit. I have only been playing small stakes to test it out but have enjoyed it thus far. They have been advertising a 100k giveaway soon but i don't know when that is going to be handed out. I imagine they are waiting for more members as it has only been live for a couple days. If you sign up use promo code 'jerryk' and good luck in making some money!

FanDuel sounds like the right fit for you. As the industry leader of daily fantasy sports and the fantasy official partner of Covers.com, I think you'll find we have the most to offer you.
In addition to the largest prize pools, we also have by far the largest player base. If you're worried about facing professional fantasy players, FanDuel has measures in place to prevent the sharks from scooping up all the low stakes action, so don't worry about that!
If you sign up, don't forget to use promo code COVERS - you'll get a 100% bonus up to $200 on your first deposit!
Lastly - we're running a $1,000 opening-day freeroll for Covers members. It's exclusive, and pays out cash to a lot of people. Give it a try for free if you want to see what FanDuel is all about. Check it out here -https://partners.fanduel.com/processing/clickthrgh.asp?btag=a_708b_316
For those of you that want to try some bigger contests - check out our other great leagues running for opening day!

I don't believe that they are hacked or cheating, it just seems like the owners of the company could be bankrolling these guys that are in every league so they can assure themselves of getting money back every night in addition to what they make. Just something to keep an eye on.
Another thing to watch for is that they WILL make players available that are injured/out or not even on a major league roster. Also watch out if you do weekly baseball leagues, they may show a pitcher having 2 starts, but you need to do your own research on that.
If I can remember the site I used last year I will post it.... was awesome for batter vs. pitcher matchups and hourly weather reports.

I can assure you, that neither FanDuel nor any other daily fantasy operator bankrolls players. That is an unethical practice of the highest order, and would be absolutely one of the worst things that could happen to an emerging industry like ours.
FanDuel is fully committed to the best user experience, and that means helping keep novice players separate from the sharks. The freeroll posted above for example, is only open to new players. I encourage you to give it a try!
If you have any other questions or concerns, I'd be happy to address them.

Signed up but I did not put in the Covers promo code. I did not deposit any money as I'm not a fan of spring training baseball. Did I miss on the 100% bonus?

I'm on Fanduel right now and love it. Wish the chat was still there also. at least have a forum or something. I've tried draft street also but I don't like their scoring system for basketball.
My biggest advice, is pay attention to injuries. Check often daily. I repeat check injuries.
It's addictive, I can't stop. Start off with 50/50s first to learn how to play.
