I am in desperate need of a TE. (Heap) I want to trade for a mid/upper level TE. I'm thinking Witten, Celek, or Cooley. I'd be happy with any of them. I'm deep at RB and WR.
R. Rice, R. Mathews, A. Foster, Br. Jackson, and M. Bush,
C. Johnson, W. Welker, S. Moss, J. Knox, J. Jones, L. Naanee, and Massaquoi.
Rice, Foster, and Johnson are not on the block. Is Mathews or Welker giving up to much for one of those Te's? Could I get a Gates or Clark for them? I think that Santana Moss or B. Jackson is not enough and that Mathews or Welker are to much.
Any thoughts... .

Im in a similar situation, i say ride it out, unless someone is really willing to trade for those TE's for moss, which i doubt. See if B. jackson does well and if he does sell him high for one of those TE"s if yours doesn't produce! Nothing better on the wire that has a decent match up this week\? Todd Heap is not the worst 11 targets!!! 6 Receptions!!!! You Cant afford to give up any WR your not that stacked No to Matthews!!!!!! Goodluck

Heap is listed as questionable for next week. He did decent for me last week. Fasano is the best guy on waivers. I may try to package one of my below average QBs (Cutler or McNabb) with Welker or Mathews for a better QB and lesser TE. Maybe Romo or Schaub with Z. Miller or Olsen. Thanks for the input.

Hell no! Don't give up top RBs & WRs for a f'n TE.
Heap looks like one of Flacco's (going to have a huge year) favorite targets. As long as he stays healthy I'd see he will a fine TE for you. But if you're really dead set on a TE then I say watch the waiver wires for the next couple weeks and someone might emerge. I'd say defiantely keep an eye on the two rookie TEs in New England.
However, if Cutler and McNabb were my QBs then I'd definately look to upgrade at the position.

He's a great option if you are that bad off. Pick him up, he will get you a few points, maybe catch a TD. You know Shaun Hill likes to throw to TE's as well, Scheffler is your guy!!

How about Tony Scheffler?

For some reason a lot of ppl in my 12 man ppr league are sitting on two TEs. Olson, Scheffler, Miller, Carlson...all gone. I'm sure after bye weeks some of them my get dropped but I want a decent TE and have some decent guys sitting on my bench with no thought of taking them off baring injury to a started. I traded Santana Moss for Brent Celek. Kolb and Celek are very tight and Vick made Crumpler look good for a lot of years. I think its a big boost to drop a #3 WR for last years #4 overall TE. Again, thanks everyone for the input.
