I wanted to drop by and say 'hi'.  I work for Fanduel and would be happy to answer any questions about the site.  Best way to reach me is by email (alex@fanduel.com), but I'll also be checking this thread periodically.

The Covers freeroll (linked in Lou's post above) pays $100 to the winner and pays the top six finishers.  You can register for Fanduel for free and enter the freeroll to try things out.  No commitment necessary.  If you win, you can withdraw the money immediately if you want.  Withdrawals are done by Paypal (or check for amounts greater than $250).  Paypal withdrawals are usually processsed same day or next day, checks sent out within 2-3 days.

The mechanics of all Fanduel contests are basically the same - choose a contest to enter, pick a team of players within a salary cap, and score points based on the performance of those players.  Contests last just one day, and if your team outscores your opponents, the money goes directly to your Fanduel account.

In addition to the freeroll, we offer contests with entry fees ranging from $5 up to $270.  If you click on the 'Home' tab in Fanduel you'll see a list of currently available contests, ranging from heads up against one other opponent to tournaments with hundreds of entrants, and prize pools up to $6,000.  We also run the Daily Fantasy Baseball Championship, which is a two tier tournament with a $10 entry fee and a total of over $100,000 of prizes.

Deposits can be made by Paypal or Visa, and as mentioned above withdrawals by Paypal or check.
