I'm in a 14 team keeper league with all my old buddies from High School. The draft is in a few weeks but keeper selections are due in the next couple days. Here's the deal, any player kept this season needs to be bumped up 2 draft rounds from where he was drafted last season, IE: Player X last season was a 5th round pick, if kept this season he would become a 3rd round pick.
So far I'm keeping Brett Favre in the 11th round (drafted in 13th round last season)
My question to everyone is this..
I have 3 players I could possibly keep and am having trouble deciding which, if any, to keep. My options are
Greg Jennings in the 2nd (drafted 4th round last season)
Donald Brown in the 3rd (drafted in the 5th round last season)
Leon Washington in the 9th (drafted in the 11th last season)
The only one I feel really comfortable keeping is Greg Jennings as I think he finally blows up and becomes an elite WR this season. Rodgers was the best Fantasy QB last season and with an improved O-Line I think they could be a lethal duo like Schaub/Andre 3000 and Manning/Harrison/Wayne were in the past.
Donald Brown is a dark horse IMO. He is very skilled in a dominant offense behind a good O-Line. Addai isn't as effective as he used to be and Brown wasn't drafted by the Colts in the 1st round for no reason This could be his breakout year.
Leon Washington is a very underated player and catches the ball well out of the backfield. He could have a good season as SEA will probably be playing catch up a lot in most games. The fact the the SEA backfield in a big question mark right now is a draw back. I feel Forsett is the best RB they have but Leon should get a good share of touches throughout the year and as a 9th round pick could be worth a flyer.
Like I said I'm 100% keeping Favre (if he decides not to play before the draft I can back out and not keep him. The hillbilly needs to hurry up and decide already ) IMO I think he'll come back another season and as an 11th round pick I can not pass on keeping him. He was one of the best Fantasy QB's last season and having him locked up in the 11th is great value.
