Got first pick

Have first pick in draft - so then my next pick isnt until 20.  I really want Rodgers and I think he is best fantasy player in draft so i dont see why not taking him first.  We get 6 pts for passing TD's in our league. 10 man league.  I would love to get Ryan Matthews at 20 but in all the mock drafts he doesnt even come close to making it that far.     Or I could do the common pick CJ and then maybe Brady at 20? 

Ya'll got any thoughts of wisdom  on this?

If this is a Yahoo draft your chances of Ryan Matthews returning to you at 20 is as likely as I getting laid by my aviator tonight.  Yahoo has been pimping him like a first round pick and that is where is he getting drafted.

My advice to you is to trade with someone who really wants either ADP or CJ.  Trade 1st and 2nd round picks.  This way you can get Rodgers with more value and have a better shot at Matthews.  But if you really want a shot at both I would not only do the trade but also take Matthews first and then Rodgers in the second round.  He will probably be there.  BOL!

I think your crazy!!!!. Chris Johnson is a fantasy FREAK! So many QB's out there capable of putting up big numbers. I would target someone like Kolb, Alex Smith, Big Ben (when he gets back). Also u could easily get Tom Brady who is on a contract year fall into your lap at pick 20!

Thanks Jesron.  I've kind of tried trading down to 4th or 5th pick with no luck. The only one willing is the guy in ninth and i dont want that one.  I feel like the 4th or 5th pick is the best position. The only reason I have 1st is cuz i finished last last year after finishing first the two previous years.

And yes it is Yahoo.

Mack - i just did a mock draft and went with Johnson, then got Brady at 20. Thats what im leaning toward now.  I really just want Rodgers - getting 6pts a TD for your QB...    But i think youre way off base with Kolb, and especially Smith.

A 2 TD game for Smith is going to be a good game for him.

Disagree. Crabtree will he a steal this year and with Davis and Ted Ginn, Smith has weapons in an atrocious division. Mark my words....................................Flacco/Kolb even at QB and your laughing, just play the matchup. I totally disagree with your thinking..RB's and Receivers are key to success. QB's just get 2 decent ones and play the matchups..
