...attempt to trade one of them for a quality WR? Here's what I had at the beginning: Calvin Johnson, Pierre Garcon, Anquan Boldin as starters, with Golden Tate (I heeded the advice of some radio fool saying that Tate could be a rookie sensation) and Mike Williams (the Seattle one) on the bench.
I've since dropped Golden Tate and Pierre Garcon and picked up NE's Brandon Tate and Houston's Kevin Walter off of free agency, but still my WR corp is clearly weak and Mike Williams looks like he'll only be a 1 to 4 catch per game WR and since I already have Matt Schaub as one of my QBs, I'm hesitant to have both a WR and QB from the same team on my team. I think I'll ride it out with Calvin Johnson and Anquan Boldin despite their weak games so far, but since I have the three aforementioned RBs, I feel I'm in a place where I could pick up a quality WR since those three RBs lit it up in week 2. Some say that McFadden's workload will subside once Michael Bush comes back, but others are saying he's finally hit his stride and will be the No. 1 RB for OAK.
There are people in my league with three quality receivers but mediocre backs, so the move could be feasible. Should I make the attempt?

By the way, this is my first year ever playing fantasy football seriously, (the two times in the past I really didn't give a damn because the stakes were so low, but now I'm playing for some serious $$$$) so I still have alot to learn.

Please explain to me why in the world you would drop pierre garcon for brandon tate . Boldin had a great week 1 and Calvin had a great week 2. Trying to figure out how your WR blow when you had Calvin, Boldin and Garcon. Then those 3 RB's and Shaub as your QB? Im guessing you really dont know what your doing if you think you have a bad team and need to make changes. First thing go and drop Tate and pick Garcon back up. Second thing sit back and enjoy the ride to the playoffs because it will be borderline impossible not to make it with that team. You also need RB depth. McCoy had a good game against the Lions and the Eagles dont run ever. McFaddens load will go down when Bush comes back. Neither you can rely on week in and week out so keep both and play matchups.

Yeah, I was looking at Tate's return numbers, not really his WR ones when I picked him up. I dropped him and picked up Garcon again, but he's going to remain on my bench. He only has 4 receptions this year and with the way Manning picked apart the Giants D and Garcon wasn't really an option led to my initial decision. Maybe that'll change, but I'm not that confident.
Calvin Johnson only became productive because Eagles when soft when Detroit scored all those points. When the game was competitive, he had hardly any catches. I'm just assuming that the Eagles were bracketing him with a safety always nearby since the Lions don't have many other options back there. I think defenses will continue playing him like that, but then again, with Best showing what he can do, that could change how the safeties are used. Like I said, I'll ride it out with CJ and Boldin, but until I picked up Walter, not one of my WR's ranked in the top 25, so maybe it's too harsh to say they "blow", but their production has been disappointing.
Also, my thinking was that I could unload McFadden for a better WR. From what I've read, McFadden's performance has vaulted him into the position as the feature back for OAK.
I'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks. Like I said, I'm still a novice at all this, so perhaps it's indicative of a newbie to make rash decisions.
Thanks for the feedback.
