Earlier this year I traded DeAngelo Williams for a bunch of draft picks which I have used to get substantial depth on my team. I am now in a situation whereby I need to consolidate some talent to strengthen my starters as I have basically pasted my bye week issues and want the best starting ten possible. My team and point system is below. Based on the above and below would you accept this trade:
I trade Kevin Smith, Dwayne Bowe, Terrell Owens and Cincinnati Defense and I get back Frank Gore and Pittsburgh Defense.
QB: Matt Schaub, Carson Palmer, and David Garrard (start 1) RB: Cedrick Benson, Kevin Smith, Knowshon Moreno, and Laurence Maroney (start two and could start one in a flex) WR: Marquese Colston, Mike Sims-Walker, Dwayne Bowe, Braylon Edwards and Terrell Owens (start two and could start one in the flex) TE: Kellen Winslow K: Really does it matter? D: Cincinnati
1 point for every sack, 25 yards returned (punts or kick off returns), 50 yards passing, 10 yards rushing/recieving, 6 points for ever TDs (no matter how scored), 2 points for every 2 point conversion, INT, Fumble Recovered, every punt blocked and every saftey. -2 points for every offensive tunover lost. There is also a declining point total for how many points scored against the defense with 10 points awarded for shut out up to -4 for allowing 35 points to be scored.
Let me know your thoughts.

You strengthen your running back core and improve your d. I'd make the trade.I don't know too much about keeper leagues, need to be in one to fully grasp it, but I do like the move nonetheless.

Thanks for the input guys. But maybe this would help in terms of explaining the keeper league concept. We are a 14 team league. Each of us can keep any two players on our roster and one developmental keeper for three total. The developmental player has to be someone who was a rookie the year before (i.e. Knowshon Moreno for me). In the fourth round (round after the keepers are drafted) you can then either draft someone who is on your roster or a free agent (more than likely a rookie as everyone else of value is probably on someone elses roster right now) without sacrificing a pick. However, if you want to steal someone's player (this would be an unkept player on someone roster) you would have to sacrific your 5th round pick. In the 5th round everyone is now a free agent and it is a normal draft.
If I did this my keepers would look like this:
Cedrick Benson Frank Gore Knowshon Moreno 4th round pick (unless stolen) = Marquese Colston
Then in the 5th round (likely towards the top if the 5th round) I could draft another WR or a QB. I figure that this move would strengthen my chances of winning this year and consolidate my talent for next year. Thanks for your input.
