I posted this in another thread but thought I would make it separate as I would like some of the regulars to chime in on this for me
Thanks
Ok boys here it is quite a stir in my league with my trade that went down I
offered as I was saying in my previous posts to this that I was
offering up one of my 5 qb's I have on my roster to a QB deprived team
well someone bit on one of my offers here it is
Gore and K.Walter to me for Chambers and Pennington to him
low ball offer? call it what you will I'm Italian and don't lkike paying full price where ever I go..hahah
he
had crap at wr and since we start 2 QB's his first one is ELI but his
next 3 are V.Young, Igor Orlovsky, Kitna so Pennington would be his
#2/3 if and when Kitna returns
Do I think I got the better of
the deal, yes but he was dealing out of need at QB since he already has
jacobs nd Turner as his starters at rb
Anyways long story short
we don't have voting on trades b/c guys usually vote based on how the
trade affects them not the 2 teams involved but we are quite the rowdy
bunch and probably take FF to seriously so never has there been this
many F bombs on the site has your league ever had to deal with this sort of uproar if so how was it handled

I agree but at the same time I didnt hold a gun to his head and since this is head to head fantasy any given week the best team can lose if it was total point accumulated then it would be different
DeAngelo Williams was better than every other back last week he could of gone up against a team that had Addai and LT and assuming the rest of the guys team had average weeks he would have won so the paper champ doesnt always win
as far as voting the problem we have is everyone votes on trades based on how the trade affects their position not the trade itself

as commish in my leagues, I tell people to vote veto for 3 reasons....collusion, player dumping (one owner just giving up) or a trade that is unfair to the point that it unbalances the league's competitiveness.
Listen, I hate vetoes......I've been in leagues where a guy tried to trade ahman green 3 years ago and we vetoed it and the next week green blew out his knee......so if a guy wants to trade someone.....if it was done in good faith, I am all for it.
that being said, it is a terrible trade.....if it were a 2 for just gore, it would be bad and you still picked up walter, who is viable.
Now remember, you will probably deal with that other owner in the future, so you don't want to burn that bridge completely.
We had a deal like this last week....one guy traded deangelo williams AND kellen winslow for Lendale "buffet killer" white.
I pushed the trade through but the owners decided to modify it a little anyway and the raper added duece mccallister into it to appease the other guy.
but I told the guy that he didn't owe him anything, he is a big boy and needs to live with his decisions.
I'd say the same thing to you..........but if the league gives you crap for it.......you have to take it......it is their right and duty to give you shit for the rest of time and if you win the league b/c of it, you will never live it down and your title will be tainted by it.
But sometimes that's the price you have to pay for a championship.

I agree NFH, so based on your criteria the trade was done in good faith and there was no form of collusion and he was not tanking it since he was 4-1 going into this week which made the trade go down much easier actually it would have hurt him more to have had to use Orlovsky this week instead of Pennington had it been a guy at the bottom then maybe it would look more fishy.
I just think vetoing deals although the idea seems good it never gets done the way it is supposed to be

much agreed....most of the time when a trade gets vetoed early in the year, it will start a shitstorm of vetoes later on b/c now people will base the trades on that one and also, now you have one or two vindictive owners that are looking for payback for thier vetoed trade.
Just say no to vetoes.
BTW, congrats on getting gore, I think he could be the most valuable fantasy guy (not named brees)right now.
