Antonio Gates is basically the only good player on my team, but through some tough wins I managed to stay a 5 seed in a 12 team league where 6 make the playoffs. Basically I'm holding onto all these players for value, and I need to drop one on Sunday if Gates doesn't play, and I need a TE again next week for the bye. This is who I'm starting this week.
QB: Freeman (Good Late Schedule) WR: Brandon Marshall WR: Steve Smith (CAR) WR: Steve Breaston RB: Ronnie Brown (Good Late Schedule) RB: Ryan Matthews RB/WR: Benjarvis Green Ellis TE: Antonio Gates (Injured, unlikely to play), Bye week Next Kicker: Dan Carpenter DEF: Minnesota (Arizona this week and DET later)
Bench: Robert Meachem Donald Driver Joseph Addai Shonn Greene (2nd Round Pick) Kyle Orton
Who would you drop out of these players to get a Tight End? There may be value in leaving it empty.
Best Tight Ends Available: John Carlson (NYG this week) Owen Daniels (Hurt) or Joel Dreesen Anthony Fasano (Baltimore this week) Jermaine Gresham (Pitt this week)
Who should I pick up?
Note: I like Steve Smith. He came on big last year with Matt Moore late. He's been hurt and Claussen was in. I like Breaston a lot because of the soft division, and Fitz draws doubles, but he is droppable I suppose.
Shonn Green, I'm just stubborn. He was a #2 pick with a decent schedule.
Meachem has good potential, and is on the other side of Colston, but right now I'm leaning towards dropping him.
Any opinions would be nice. Thanks!

You really are into the value of a player 9 weeks ago. You gotta get out of that mind-set.
I would drop greene, hes available in my 10 team league.
I have 8 guys with crosses next to their name and in the same boat as you man.............sucks I dont wanna drop anyone either, but in this paticular league I am 1/2 game out the playoffs so I gotta do it, 4-3-1 record
In my bench this week is malcolm floyd, deangelo, mike hart, percy harvin, beanie wells, yikes

i would probably drop orton or green... are you ever gonna use orton?
pick up owen daniels
No offense, but do you even play fantasy football? If you did, you would know that Kyle Orton has the third (I think) most yards of any quarterback in the league. I've started him every week until now, because of the bye. He has a soft schedule the rest of the way, and I wouldn't put myself into the position of having no choice but to start Freeman.
I don't really want to cut my losses with Greene. I'm still considering a start for him vs.Detroit this week.
Cutting Joseph Addai would be insane. Yes, he's hurt, but he's the best RB I have on my team right now.
Jacksmack, I don't think there's any value in keeping Mike Hart. He has an ankle sprain which will probably keep him out this week. I'm hoping Addai will be good for next week, and Brown will back him up.

Owen Daniels is a Game-Time decision and hasn't practiced all week. I don't think it's worth the risk. So basically my choices are Fasano or Gresham, and I would likely be dropping Meachem or Breaston. I'm leaning towards Breaston right now.
New Orleans passes the ball a whole lot, but they do have a lot of weapons, and Reggie Bush should be coming back soon.
