I might be answering this myself, but...I just wanted to see everyone's opinion on the matter.
Every fantasy league has their own set of rules/settings. Are trade deadlines normally locked throughout the week? for instance, should trades be allowed to go through after the first NFL match of the week (thursday), or even saturday night when games begin sunday? Most will say that as long as the players in question have not played their games, it should be allowed.

I think you can do as you wish. In my league, we do adds/drops from after the MNF game with a deadline of Wednesday night (using your free agent budget). After Wed. at midnight, you can pick up and drop for free.
Because that's how we do our FA's, any trade that is made is effective on Wed. at midnight as well. So if you make a trade on Saturday, the move is made the following Wed. at midnight.
We just do that because we're older (league is over 25 years old) and it makes it easy on everyone.

Thanks for letting me know how your league settings are. Unfortunately, in the league that I play in, there is a commissioner review instead of league votes. I found it a bit odd that players were allowed to be traded Saturday Night and available to be played Sunday morning. I've played in yahoo leagues before that are similar to your settings. Once a trade is offered after the weekly cutoff, if and when the trade goes through it will be reflected in the following week instead of the current week.
There has just been some fishy things going on in my league and I'm just a bit fed up with it.
It's partially my fault for not going over the rules and settings before I joined, I figured that it was going to be both fun and fair so I didn't want to get into technicalities early on.

I've been in leagues like that in the past and you always were wondering if something was going on. I don't mind a commish vote, but it's a little disconcerting when someone's star player goes down on Saturday and suddenly someone else who is out of it is trading them a RB right before kickoff on Sunday.
Sucks when all the owners don't seem to be trustworthy. Good luck.
