Semi Final Tie = LOSS

Question

Huge beat for me this week.  Had the best team going into the Playoffs, needed 18 with Brady left and he had no one.  Brady got 18 exactly.  Tie breaker in CBS is terrible.  I have best record, most points on season, head to head best, most TD&#x27;s this week, but tie breaker is most total yards this week.  We are definitely changing that one next year, but OUCH!!!  BOOM IM OUT!!

I think the home team should always win a tie breaker... So for your case, you are the 1 seed, you will be the home team you should win. Gives you more a reason to win regular season. The odds of a tie are low, but still can happen. Just my opinion

Total bench points should decide the tie breaker.

I would&#x27;ve won that scenario (59-39) but not sure that should be the tiebreaker either.

Yes, I was the home team; had a better regular season record, more points scored, beat him H2H the only time we played and beat him 9 out of 14 weeks on the season so would&#x27;ve had the upper hand on any of those scenarios.  I agree though I think the higher seed should win the tiebreaker and we will be voting on this at next years draft; no one has ever tied a playoff game in this league so never came up before.  I really couldn&#x27;t believe this was CBS tiebreaker rule; thought I was good no matter what it was.

Ouch JW... &#xD;&#xA;Thats as bad a beat as ive heard especially in the one and done that is the playoffs... &#xD;&#xA;Im assuming you guys dont use fractional points...? That might be the best way to avoid a tie.... At least i havent seen it happen yet in the few years ive been doing this...&#xD;&#xA;What a weird tiebreaker... The h2h record or most total pts on the season sounds reasonable... At that point the team who had the better year should move on... I think the bench pts might even sound better than total yards... Brutal my friend...

It kind of makes me want to check and see what our playoff tiebreakers are. Higher seed would make the most sense to me.

We will definitely be changing our tiebreaker possibly to higher seed, H2H, or total points.

listen to this... we played a 2 week semi-final, and going into the monday night game it was 235-234 with the guy behind having the only guy left playing... adrian peterson. he thought he had it locked up but then AP got ruled out... ouch. championship was set with me playing the other guy. then I see that ESPN has a notice saying Mendenhall&#x27;s rushing yards had been decreased to 99 from 100. the guy I was set to play had mendenhall, we don&#x27;t play fractions of points so he lost a full point. Semi-final score was changed to a tie... and the guy who had AP was the higher seed because he led his "division", the other guy had a better record but the seedings were the tie breaker so he advanced
