Sigh, is this a good thing or bad? Thinking mendenhall.mcfadden or totally different thinking wr wr....
Anyone had the tenth pick and can tell me what to look for? I am pretty good as the rounds go later but always nervous in the 1st and 2nd rounds.
What should I look for?? 12 man cbs team, no ppr. Thing is I am not taking MLD, or Michael shit turner, i hate both of them. Id rather have peyton hillis over those guys, I just dont want them. So what are your suggestions? I am big on Calvin Johnson and was thinking maybe i should make my strength wr, but there is no ppr in this league. I like mendenhall over mjd and turner, and i like mcfadden as well. Would it be to early to get them both?
Look forward to any advice in the morning. Thanks in advance

im definitely thinking mendenhall, calvin johnson, mcfadden, roddy white. That is who I am hoping is there, and I can get 2 of them. Would be great if Andre Johnson was still there but that is a pipe dream I think.

from my experience in past at 10th pick I will usually go rb/rb, specially if there are 2 full time backs there, in 3rd and 4th round you will not find FT backs, but still can find solid wr

Thanks for the ideas. I want 4 strong wrs and rbs with my first 4 picks, as I plan on taking Stafford as my QB a little later. Really thinking of going 6 deep at wr and rb. There is a few rbs I dont want though like deangelo williams, jon stewart, im sick of wondering which one honestly.

I would love Mendenhall and DMC at the 10 spot. I've even seen McCoy drop to that spot and I'd grab him if he's available. I have no problem with taking one of those guys and a WR also and then same thing next time round.

Agreed. If McCoy is there grab him and then either Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, or Fitz.
I've picked in that same spot before. I have done well when I took back to back STUD WRs...It pisses guys off as well b/c they are looking to walk away from the first 2 picks w/a stud RB AND WR------you just negated that!
Basically the real stud RBs have gone, so to turn the tables a bit, i LOAD up on the WRs there. it sort of balances things out.
As far the RBs go, if you aren't landing one of the top 5-6 guys, you are forced to piecemeal your backfield anyway. Guys like Bradshaw, Felix Jones, Blount, Hillis etc are still sitting there when you get to the next go around.
I landed Ryan and Bradford later on...2 guys that I will gladly gamble with, especially given that I was getting decent RBs in the 2nd 3rd 4th rds...

IMO you take the best available, whether it be a RB/WR, or WR/WR. Drafts never pan out the way you want. What does your starting lineup by position have to be? This should help in the way you draft.
Cant go wrong with: McCoy A.Johnson R.White Mendenhall DMC Gore - just grab his backup. Calvin Johnson Fitz

Thanks fellas, I will post results later tonight. I kinda like Julio Jones the way Ryan is throwing the ball around. He is projected around 80th to 95th from what I see.
How late is Ryan going? Because I would love him as my qb late?

anywhere from 4-6th round...make a cheat sheet, helps to see who still needs what, and when you should make the QB pick. I was in 8 team draft laast night. Ryan was last starter chosen...Romo went right before him to a guy that already had Rodgers, or I would have went Romo, then backd him up w/Ryan. Goodluck

End up taking Andre Johnson and Roddy white with first two picks.
Then missed hillis by 1 person in front of me, was pissed, regrouped and took Knowshon and Cedric Benson. I hope I dont regret that because I really like felix jones and ryan matthews this year. Got Schaub instead of RYan in the 6th round or so.
Ended up with this.
Qb- Matt Schaub
RBs- Knowshon, Cedric Benson, Ryan grant, Mike TOlbert, Jonathan Stewart.
WRs- Andre Johnson, Roddy WHite, Ocho, Jacoby Ford
TE-Gonzalez and HErnandez(Picked them in last 11th and 12)
kickers and defense dont even remember, lol, cowboys

AJ & RW are awesome at 1&2. Ocho has potential if he can get the timing down.
You're weak at RB, how many backs do you need to start? Knowshon has tons of potential and will be reliable, Benson will be hit/miss. Hope you're other 3 pan out.
BOL this season.

i am in a 2 rb 2 wr 1 flex league. They took Mcfadden right in front of me, then in the 3rd round I had drool coming out the side of my mouth and they took hillis right in front of me. I hate the 10 spot.

Tundra you dont like grant at all? I thought he looked good. I shoulda got starks later. I tried to get Ronnie Brown very late was suprised he was still around, but it said I had too many rbs on my roster, didnt even know there was a cap.
