In a deep 20 man league. Drafted RB Benjarvis Green Ellis late in one of the drafts. Mind you this is a keeper league also. Got him in late rounds especially after liking the way he filled in for Maroneys spot last season and his performance in the preseason.
Here is what i dont get. Often injured rb Fred Taylor is out as always either for the season or an extended period of time. Laurence Maroney hasnt ran the same way he did since coming back from his list of injuries in the last couple of years and well ...to me Sammy Morris is ....Sammy Morris. There is no explosiveness in this Patriots backfield. Every runner who has taken a snap for them seems to be content with these small smal 3-4 yard gains setting up the passing game, which without Welker on certain weeks hasnt been doing so well.
Personally, they can say what they want about Tom Bradys "skirt" being too high or him being afraid to take a hit but the reality of the situation is they are running the ball terribly with no efficiency and i think this guy seriously deserves a chance.
Do you guys think Bill gives him that opportunity? and if not, why not just release the guy and let another team use him. Why waste a potentially good career. I think this guy shows some potential breakout fantasy promise especially as a runaway rb 4 very similar to how Willie Parker broke out fantasy wise his first year.
Any pats super fans or anyone with any idea if or when he will play?
